even though i dont live in miami. this promoter/guy is def. chillin. a part of the community. y cant more promoters. specially the ones in atl be like this :( |

| I'm sorry to sound negative here. I think it's great effort on your part, but my neighbor and old friend is a promoter at metropolis and from talking to him, pre-metropolis and post-metropolis it really sounds like there isn't much communication and understanding between promoters and the management. This is not from him, he is super psyched about metropolis like you are, going out, talking to the people, etc... but to tell you the honest truth, just looking from the outside, it sounds as though the management is doing what they want and no matter what you say or do, they just want to use you to just hype the club and make it seem friendly etc. Once you get to the door and you try your password, or try to give an express pass, you are bound to be dissapointed unless it's your lucky day. Especially problematic is mixed messages from promoters and then once you get to the club you see it's totally different than what you expected. There needs to be one message, and I think it's not happening. But it's a new club, you're bringing great talent, I'm going to wish Metropolis the Best of Luck. The bottom line is that as long as you bring people (by making use of promoters, your job as PR) the club will be around and do well, and that's all they're going with so far in my opinion, with the main differentiator "the talent that space doesnt book". |
