Vienna, Va. - A Fairfax County (website - news) martial-arts teacher has been charged with break-in, assault and attempted abduction at the home of two girls who were students in his class.
Someone attacked the ten-year-old twin girls inside their bedroom in their home in Vienna over the weekend, and they responded with tactics learned in their martial-arts class. The noise woke up the girls' parents, who continued fighting off the attacker before he fled.
Vienna police say 42-year-old Andrew Jacobs is charged in the attack. He is being held without bond. Police say he was the teacher who instructed the girls on self-defense techniques.
According to a search warrant filed in Fairfax Circuit Court, Jacobs said he planned to tied up and subdue the family so he could steal items from their home.
