SOUNDS MOVE TO GREENER PASTURES

Hi there dear Sounds massive. We have some big news for you today…

We, Sounds Group (Paddy, Ben, Kas, Glen, Declan), the events company who brought you We Love… Sounds at the Hordern Pavilion, the 3D World Promoter of the Year and your crew who have helped establish Sunday as a major clubbing day of the week, are moving on our role as promoter of Sounds On Sunday. We have also been the joint promoters of After Ours at YU and will also be leaving this Sunday nights in Kings Cross.

Ben Korbel and Paddy Nash have been involved in the promotion of Sounds On Sunday for the past five years, first as employees and most recently through their company Sounds Group, having had 294,000 people through the gates and bringing you memorable Sunday parties and acts including Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Felix Da Housecat, Crazy Penis live, Jacques Lu Cont, Kaskade, Danny Howells, Tiefschwarz and many more. On our recent birthday, you showed your support in flying colours by attending four events in two days, totaling more than 11,000 people. Sounds On Sunday was founded by Mike Kerry, Andy Willmott, Tidas Day, Matt Cohen and
Bill Skelly with the later involvement of Sam Cruicshank as co-director and eventually
Sam becoming sole director at present. Ben and Paddy were fortunate to be invited to
assist in the development and eventual long term promotion of the club, as the original crew, with the exception of Sam, now having all left, gradually over the past three years.

We have chosen to part ways with Sounds On Sunday and focus on our growing business. The main reason for the move is based around creative differences between all parties involved and our firm commitment to continue delivering you a high standard of event. We are very excited about what the future holds for us and rest assured, you are in it!

We’ve had an amazing five years creating a memorable weekly party at Greenwood for you though it’s now time to look towards the future and move on to newer, exciting pastures, continuing to provide you with the best clubs and events possible as we go deeper into the new millennium. We’d like to thankyou for your amazing support over the course of the club’s life, for making the past five years some of our best and for smiling and just saying hello each Sunday.

We look forwards to seeing you again at our existing and future Sounds Group club nights and events where we’ll continue delivering the parties that you love, at the best venues, with a friendly but cool vibe, the best access to local and international talent, with the Sounds overall attention to detail you’ve come to appreciate. With some looseness thrown inJ ofcourse! And just so there’s no confusion…

Sounds Group, us, (wherever you see www.sounds.net.au or our logo , exclusively will continue to bring you the following but not limited to…

* Safari (PLAN B - Weekly)
* Renaissance Summer Ball (HOME) feat Sasha, James Zabiela & Nic Fanciulli
* We Love… Sounds 2006 (HORDERN)
* NYE On The Harbour feat. Boogie Pimps & Mark Knight (CARGO)
* Egg Touring - dozen national tours over summer through our new agency Egg, including Tiefschwarz, Ivan Smagge, King Unique, Damian Lazarus, Mark Knight & Kraak & Smaak.

PS. Stay tuned for a new weekly club…

Sounds On Sunday will continue to operate at Greenwood under new management with no association or further involvement from us. We wish the new management well in their ventures. For all things Sounds Group and Egg Agency, we’re still at our usual website www.sounds.net.au. Keep your ears to the ground (or regularly check our site and E-News) for updates as to our new and exciting ventures.

SOS will continue at Greenwood (with the same name), just the 'Sounds' promo crew won't be a part of it. New management basically.
