Since the TA search function is FUBARed, I can't be sure if this thread has been ever created so...
Anyone else playing this game? I'm on it.

I have no idea. I never played WoW. The only other MMORPG I ever played was Ultima Online, but I'm a Final Fantasy fanatic so I've found my calling here. |

| FF11 is frustrating in the early levels (before able to go on an airship) because of the walking you must do to level at appropriate places. i guess WoW is good because you can take care of a lot of things in your native area. both have interesting story lines and sideplots. hmm, yeah ff junkie myself heh |

Oh defintely, dude. You can level up a lot in your native area in Ultima Online, which wasn't a bad game, mind you, but since FF was the first RPG I ever played, I'm kinda biased, hehehe.
Still, a lot of people have said WoW is good. I may check it out one day, but for now, FFXI will suffice. I just can't understand why potions are so damn expensive. I'm so early in the game (and I'm only at level 8) I can't even afford ONE potion. I have to watch where I fight, and I'm right by Sand'oria castle. Bleh. |

ive heard good things about both wow and ff11
but the thing is that i know myself. i once played 60 hours of Phantasy Star Online in one week. right now i need to focus on my career, and not devote my life to a mmorpg |

I played FFXI for the first free month...its cool because its Final Fantasy but then i got really bored with it really quick...im not sure why though. perhaps the lack of PvP among other things. It gets frustrating at times because i just feel like im moving so slow for some reason. Overall its not too bad once you get passed certain levels. i only made it to leve 24 i think.
I also played WoW for a few months. I liked this alot better than FFXI but i got bored with it too hehe(by the way its probably my fault i get bored with these games). Wow is fun but kinda boring at 60. Plus i didnt have many friends in it liked i did in Star Wars Galaxies.
That game was the best time ive ever had playing ANY video game hands down. Every aspect about it I loved. I loved the PvP and i loved farming loot in PvE. I loved the good people on my server and i loved fighting the bad/mean people on my server. Even when people considered the game to be unbalanced, too easy, and crappy etc i still loved it. i never got bored of it either. The game got overhauled and that was when i departed to WoW.
Now Im playing(well very soon) Dark and Light. This game looks amazing and is huge! the open stress test is starting at the end of this month so you can sign up now for an invite.
PS: Ive played other MMO's too like Ultima,CoH etc but i dont have too much experience on them. And i have no clue why i wrote all of this out. |
