Tiesto would eventually be elected Prime Minister of the Netherlands eight years after his father held the post. He would lead the the Dutch into a war against the British in search of his country's most valuable natural resource: Trance producers. Popular opinion on the war would begin split with countries like Brazil saying "Is war a worthy method of obtaining resources?", while countries like Algeria would say, "We support the Dutch's policies as long as they continue to fund our social and economic development!" Eventually, Tiesto's popularity would begin to decline as opposition parties members skewer him with scandals ranging from Cor Fijneman's rerouting of money meant for public transportation to buy Tijs an expert crafted gold stylus and Tiesto's inability to satiate the craving for good, affordable trance producers at home. Tiesto will see out the end of a rough tenure and will retire to his mountain home, passing the buck on any criticisms of his reign and always touting the good he did, the plans actualized, the indelible contribution to society.

good story.
however, you left out the most important angle.

while tiesto's reign of the dutch grounds was sweet and melodic at times, people are growing weary of his old ways, and want a new style to reign the dutch throne. The people decide to appoint Ferry Corsten to run-off against tiesto for the seat. After heavy battle, sex scandals, and numerous accusations of the candidates collaborating with nearby belgian djs, they finally faced off in the presidential election. The people vote, yet are too high on coke (because while tiesto reigned, he made it a daily requirement for the dutch to use at least one gram of coke per day) to punch a challot or press a button. So while their minds were distracted, someone "accidentally" sneaks the teletubbies as the third candidate. Most people choose the third choice, and by unanimous vote, the teletubbies were voted kings and queens of netherlands. Ferry gets upset with the results, and blames tiesto for fraud. Then, Ferry challanges Tiesto to a spin off.

i think that post with "and perform the miracle of the trainwreck....for i am the lord..." was the best tiesto gimmick

a link to the brilliant tiesto thread. it should go down in history as one of the best TA threads this year:

On Saturday night, Tiesto taught Los Angeles just who is no.1, and gave the US its first taste of an arena-sized trance a thon.

The greatest living legend of Dance did not disappoint. During arguably the greatest four-hour set ever, the chosen one took 10,000 devoted fans on an audio-visual tour of the world, Tiesto like hurricane Rita wanted to let America know he was coming and would bring something that would blow them away.

With production design that would flatter any A-list rock band, Tiesto was housed in a bomb proof booth, surrounded by semi naked dancers and a 12 piece choir that created an unpresidented accompaniment to his euphoric set.

But this was to be no ordinary DJ gig, as the 'In Concert' shows have already proven in Europe. The show continued to transport the audience on a musical voyage with various magicians and jugglers adding to the ambience.

For those in attendance, whether amongst the vast sweaty masses on the Main floor, or viewing from the exclusive vip area, there could be no doubt that what they were witnessing was the greatest performer in Dance history.

Tiesto should be applauded for taking such risks and proving that Trance music can provide such value for money.

Bloody hell, he's not Jesus.

Tiesto 6:43: "And Tiesto saith unto them, Behold for I shall perform the miracle of the trainwreck and the deafening of the five thousand. And he commanded the multitude to jump up and down, and gave to his disciples the joy of the poor track selection. Tiesto saith unto them, praise me for I am the Lord."
