Oh yeh and kroots too :) sorry my brain is still a little frazzled.
I just remembered some more tunes during the night when 1 of the djs in the trance room played yahel - avalanche (senses mix), I nearly passed out of excitment hearing that tune in a club, one of my all time favorites. Also someone played Sun decade - follow you, another great track. And finally Jose Amnesia - the eternal pulsar mix. crowd just went silly. |

was a great nite, monster room was ace!! nice to meet everyone :)
my only complaint was the SeOne bouncers and door staff....i left at 3am and asked the door staff/bouncers if they could call a minicab, to my dismay they all ignored me and said to walk 'up the street' and hail one down! like WTF! every other club i have been to make the effort to 'know' that you will get home safe, as the SeOne website says :
' seOne London would like all our customers to have a safe journey home'
Yeh, off!!!!!
:whip:
totally unacceptable in my opinion. i was on my own also, you would have thought they would at least made sure a cab came outside a club etc. ******s!
so it took me 45min to actually find a minicab over at london bridge station, along with a few others that were there waiting etc....
i even saw NuNrg waiting for a while with Paul (pvds manager) for a cab to show up!!!!! etc! this may not be SeOens prob but surely the event management/promoters would have provided transportation back to their hotel?????
end of rant! |

i had fun even though i did get lost from my mates (Stu and Mef).
Good to see Moondog again (twice in two days, lol) and also dj mdma and Kr00ton.
I don't really remember much :( venue was alright, not a big fan of the whole arches clubbing thing. Music was generally a bit hard for me. Tunage was good although mixing left quite a bit to be desired, Reece Elliot and Little Gem were particularly poor if memory serves me correctly.
Would definately go to another Wilchild though, probably not after doing an allnighter at Slinky the night before though :( |

Yeah ya bastard... we waited about 5 metres in front of you for 40 mins and you didn't have the courtesy to come and let us know where you'd gone, spent ages looking for you! :p
Hope you had a good one, I did! Catch ya soon |

As for me, it was one of the best parties of my life, seriously!
I was with Zag2Me pretty much the whole time, from door opening till the very last beat was dropped (new harhouse remix of Legend B - Lost In Love, diiied!)
Monster Tunes, Wildchild vs Passion and Trance Generation (classics) were the best rooms. My exact type of trance, I couldn't listen to any better track selection, it was right on. Especially Marc West vs Andy Bagguley'set around 3am, succession of killer tunes (Armin - Communication, Fred Baker - Sweet Moonlight, G&M Project - Sunday Afternoon), amazing!
Adam Sheridan played Purple Haze - Adrenaline and I died...and Ayu - M (Airwave Remix), wow!!
Mad tunes all night long...but the best sure was in the Trance Classics room! I feel so frustrated to have been too young to go to parties in 1999-2000, so now I'm trying to find some oldskool parties...and wow...I couldn't have hoped for anything better than this! Binary Finary (Gouryella Remix), Lost Tribe - Gamemaster, Marco V - Godd, Matt Darey - Wizards of the Sonics, System F vs Armin - Exhale, Push - Strange World, and and and...Solarstone - Seven Cities and William Orbit - Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix) mixed in a row!! Totally killed me, I had dreamed of hearing these tracks played in a club like that for soooo many years and it happened!
I'm going to write a full review for my friends, I won't bore you with that here, I could go on for pages and pages saying just how much I loved this night :)
Was great seeing Moondog, Krooton again, and mdma for the first time!
Partied hard the whole time, didn't stop very often, craved some more at the end of the party, Ionly slept 4.5 hours after that and I'm still not tired, not even sore :) (and I never take drugs)
I'm one happy Frenchman who doesn't regret having moved here AT ALL!
Think I've just found heaven :D |

I was very impressed with Wildchild. Saturday was actually the first time I'd ever stepped foot inside the SE1 and I had a great time. My friends and I arrived at what we thought would be quite a late hour (after midnight) and feared a huge queue but we were inside within five minutes and there were no cloakroom queues to speak of at all, both when we arrived and when we were leaving.
The main danger with events of this size is that you can't hope to see everyone you want to, and in the end we spent the time mainly moving between the three trance rooms. Nu-NRG in the main arena were superb, then a decent classics set from JFK in the stiflingly-hot Trance Generation room, before heading to the BBL arena for the set of the night from Adam White, and finally ending up back in the TG room for Ian Betts b2b w/ Anthony Dean. Great sets all round from those I saw and, it has to be said, in moving between rooms, the standard of music from everyone involved seemed to be incredibly high.
I can't think of too many complaints although it would've been nice to have each room/arena more clearly labelled and there were no set times posted anywhere (from reading other people's posts, it sounds like there were set lists which you could buy although I didn't see these), and some of the rooms were swelteringly hot. However, these really are minor complains and congratulations are due to Wildchild for a great party. Nice one! :) |
