Such ignorance. There's a lot better hip hop out there, that's not about ho's, bling bling, and being a gangsta.

my props go to talib kweli, mos def and qtip. i'm sure there are others like them but i can't get myself *that* much into the genre to research other similar artists. i guess this would be a good time to use Pandora.com

^^ yesshh. I love Q-Tips voice. Because of the hip hop thread in MD, I've started listening to De La Soul. I like it. Alot.

as i've stated before, intelligent lyrics in hip hop are always a plus, but not crucial. it's all about the beat. yea, 50 cent can't really rhyme for , but he's got great beats/melody. i'm totally guilty of loving all the new mindless hip hop, but trust me, i know good hip hop...old school hip hop. i know it's gone to lyrically, but as far as the beats go, i love most of the new stuff out. i love mike jones, tony yayo (and all the G-unit guys), that new 36 mafia song is pretty good too, but they've been around.

i like tribe called quest, wu-tang, old outkast, xhibit, lost boyz, jay z, older dre & snoop and tu pac...

you know what i was thinking the other night though as this old song came on the radio?

if i had to name ONE song (out of all the genres) that gets me pumped up and ready to party more than any other song out there...i mean really makes me just get up out of my seat and start dancing like it's 1999....lol

no but seriously, Rob Bass "It Takes Two" really does something to me...i can't explain it. it'll never get old and i get so excited when it comes on. truely a classic...

You're a person?

As for me, it sure as hell provides me with a nice pastime during work days, and I've met quite a few cool people through here as well.
