Bassdrum's plastic. Hi hats aren't lound enough. Atmos synth takes up too much headroom, don't give it too much space, makes me notice the monotanous harmony. Try giving the track alternates in rhythm and music, like on every 8th bar for example. But besides that it's goodwork!

IMO, the bassline is sounding too weak.
There is way too much compression in the mix and way too much mid-range frequencies.
What do you listen to your mix on? B/c I think it may be a good time to invest on some monitors or at least some decent headphones.
However, there was a lot of creative use of the melodies and I'm sure it would have sounded very beautiful except unfortunately the mixing was just totally off :(.
Keep working at it, and hopefully you can get a tighter mix next time. |

The pad @ 0:55 dosen't sound good imo. Too cold/wet or something. And you could have added some delay to the lead @ 1:23. The pads @ 1:50 sounds better but I can't get the right feeling of it. The synth used for the main melody in the break... Throw it away! ;)
