Another God Thread by Confessions

Say that god comes down to earth and shows himself to prove his existance. BAM, the existance of god is revealed.
HOWEVER, say that god just comes down, but doesn't say anything. Meaning that he doesn't answer questions that humanity has pondered for AGES. The two questions in particular is What is the meaning of life and Why do people suffer?
Would those of you who are unsure of worship start following god, even though he hasn't given you a reason to?
btw, just for entertainment, anyone know any good God T-Shirts? |

ok, ive been taking theology class for 2 years and heres what i can tell you.
for god(the christian god) to come down to earth, it would be to judge. he is so holy and pure, he cant stand the presence of anything unpure and unrighteous. in the bible, a man by the name isaiah, a prophet, you would think the most godly type of man. his spirit was taken up to heaven in a dream, and when he laid eyes upon god, he wept and said, "im doomed!! for my mouth utters unclean things and the people around do the same." yea, so god is coming in the end of this age, the book of revelation, and as i said, its to judge which sucks if you're not a christian, (to a christian, it would suck for you.) that's their thought. thats why they are so intent on spreading their message.
there is suffering because of sin. god isnt the reason most of the time. he just lets it happen. in an imperfect world, imperfection is a bad thing as we can see. hurricanes and all crime, and war, earthquakes, and it just keeps getting worse.
the meaning of life is a bit more complex. WE are here to have a relationship with god as adam and eve did in the beginning. animals are here as a companion to man. we have domesticated them, cats and dogs keep us company, but then there are those animals that are wild, and thats another topic.
im just telling you all this from what a christian would say. think about everything objectively and take this as only one view to look at. |

For a deity so holy and pure, he sure has pulled some sick and unrighteous stuff in the past.

Lazy bum. For someone that supposebly loves us all he sure doesnt give a about what is happening to us :rolleyes: Kind of makes you think if he aint just BS us.
Thats why i belive in the flying spaghetti monster, at least that story makes sense. And i am in touch with Him evry time i eat pasta :haha:
EDIT: for God shirts...if you dont mind offending the cristinan god by wearing t-shirts with other deity may i reccomend these shirts :D
