Anybody else play Hold 'em, Stud or Omaha?

Just wondering who else is serious into playing poker. I've been playing for a while, atleast long before the phenomenon that it has become over the last year. I play atleast one tournament a week at the Bike, Morongo or Commerce Casino here in LA and surrounding areas and the occasional trip to Vegas which comes about once every 3 months or so. When I'm not playing tourney's, I'm playing home games with friends and just can't seem to drop the game just yet. I've been in several WPT and WSOP satellite tournaments to land that infamous $10k seat at the final table at the Main Event. Most people think that poker is just Texas Hold 'em but there's much more than just that. I usually switch up between Hold 'em, Stud and Omaha. Some styles require more luck, draws and chasing that others but it's all in good fun and competition.

i play a tournament every sunday... i've yet to win though. i just lost with JQs against pocket tens yesterday... I caught the jack AAAND the queen on the flop.. but low and behold the turn was a king and the river was an ace.. the ****** caught the straight WHAT THE ARE THE CHANCES OF THAT
ever play the weird ones like shanghai... pineapple... tahoe? anyone? |

we used to have a weekly game, basically wed play from 11 pm - 5 am, our house variation of holdem...
translation: wed all get really wasted cuz wed all bring booze, then id take all my freinds money, cuz im sneakier than they are.

thursday is our poker night. Just a $20 buy in and we play tourny style holdem.
then about once or twice a week I play limit hold em at a casino.
where do you play in vegas? its not a good town for poker. |

| I play usually once a week, and do big tourney's once a month or two months depending on how much money i got to spend. I try not to play home games anymore with friends, because its really a pain in the ass to play with amateurs. I only try to play home games with people who know what theyre doing. |

4 of a kind in carribean stud - 10:1 plus 500bonus. 30 bet 60 ante do the math...
1130 in 1 hand - tipped 30, walked away with 1100 sat down with 200. |

Are you kidding? Vegas is excellent for poker. The Rio, MGM, New York New York all have great poker rooms. Since poker has boomed, there's lots of heads in each room, all waiting to have their money taken. |

yea they sit down at 2/4 tables which its almost impossible to make money at. or if you get wild ones they sit at 4/8, which you have a better chance to beat the rake.
there are no good high limit games. you can find some at bellagio and some at wynn, but where you are, southern cali, mucho better. |
