hmm seeing how bob has a good relationship with heaven im sure they asked him before he was on the flyer.
good job boobs. ill try to drag edwin out to this one as well. its been awhile since i partied at the arena. it was so easy to stumble from the patio to the dance floor. |

| wow, so many of you never been to the Arena before? I'm so surprised! It's a great venue. RED called it "HOME" once before too :D .. btw, how did Heaven do for Filo & Peri last Friday @ Avalon? My date flaked and I had to stay home .. :( |

Heaven last friday at avalon was a complete waste of time and money.
there were 150 people there MAXX, i have actually never even seen avalon that empty the entire time I have lived in L.A.
we were really pissed when we got to heaven that night and didnt get into the club til 1120!!!!
they didnt even open til 11!!! WTF??
then once we get in, do we see a packed club? no! we see about 100 people scattered throughout the venue and there were basically NO lighting or visuals at all!
the sound was mediocre at best.
the opening dj sucked ass sorry to say. not sure where he came from but he sucked.
filo & peri have morphed into some other kind of DJs, playing all sorts of strange tunes. danceable i guess.. if you went there wnating that style. i dont know about anyone else but i thought this was tranceclubheaven and that it meant there would be TRANCE music, but i only heard about 4 trance songs the whole night.. and i thought filo and peri were trance producers/djs.. but i guess not???
then to top it off like it wasnt bad enough being at a huge club with 100 people at it, which about 80% of those 100 were cracked out 50 yr old asians, but then they turned on the lights and cut off F&Ps record at 230!!!!!!!!!! WTF?!!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?

real time: 1120pm-230am (3 hour club night, woo hoooooo)
please please tell me what the we paid for?????
then when we go to the heaven website to complain, we find that there is basicallly no website, its out of date by months!!!
is this club being serious???
i really dont understand why no one else has commented on this yet. i went out of town on saturday and expected a bashing thread when i got back, and instead i see nothing??? was no one else from TA there to witness this RIPOFF of an event???
i guess we were supposed to forget about another failed heaven event and just go spend our money again on this next one. yeah right. i am done going to heaven and giving it a million chances. this club is obviously run at the bare minimum and im tired of spending my weekend nights and my money on a club that doesnt even give 2 s about its customers. i guess everyone else seems just fine with it... which by the way is a big reason why clubs like this keep on going even though they do ty events! because the clubbers let them!
if everyone keeps taking it and letting it happen without saying anything, then why should they change????? |

wow... it seems like every time you post here you have Nothing Nice or positive to say!
So here are your answers to your questions :)
1. The event at Avalon last friday was a spure of the moment last minute event. We as promotors did not know about it untill the Wed before.
2. There where more then 150 people at Avalon
3. There was a concert before the event. So before clubers are let in they have to clear everyone out clean up and then set up the stage for a DJ.. That takes time.
4.Just because they are Trace Dj's or producers dosn't mean they have to play Trance ;) Maybe they wanted to try something differnt to see how it would work. Besides the opening DJ was a litlle hard for an "opner" Many Dj's find a difficult task in head of them following someone who plays tracks at a higher BPM then they are used to. How would you have felt if they stoped the music.. and started at more a progressive slower BPM side??? Filo and Peri had to keep the energy going... so they did.
5. There where not just 50 old cracked out people... did you look around..:rolleyes: Wait I will get my picture up to night to show you what you missed!:haha:
6. Remeber heaven took some time off and so did the website (bfd).. so with it back every week starting next week I am sure the web will be updated shortly.
7. Remember this was a last min event.. On the 21st Heaven returns home with Solarstone! :eyes: if you decided to stay home b/c of ond "bad" night iyo then you are going to missing out on a lot of Great events and tallent that the bigger clubs are affarid to bring! |

---no offense at all, but you have obviously not seen my other posts because i have plenty of positive things to say, just not when I am being ripped off.

---well then why the would a promoter do this??? spur of the moment???? what the hell is the point of that??? oh you mean to rip off the few people that did show up??? i mean c'mon!!!! the hwole point of a club event is to give people a place to go and hear great music and meet people. HOw can you meet people when there is nobody there???

---really? well i would love for avalon to give us a count, because my friends and i could literally count people thats how empty it was. (and btw i wasnt on drugs, so i know what i saw was real)

--- well woopdeedoo for them. avalon ALWAYS has concerts, they have been primarily a concert venue for years and years. so you have made my point for me. if it is KNOWN that avalon does these types of things before dance events then WHYYYYYY would a promoter PROMOTE a 10oclock doors open time, if they know it's not gonna happen?!?!?! and if they didnt know, well i just dont care for that excuse, because as a promoter, itr is their JOB to know.

--- well, last time i checked when a dj is known for a certain style, a promoter doesnt hire them to "experiment", they are hired to deliver what the crowd knows from them. and from f&p, we know only trance, so why they would be booked under that impression and then bring something completely opposite, is not my idea of fun. if i had known they were gonna play disco techy housey then i wouldnt have gone. why? because im not into that and i have that right. no offense to anyone that does like that stuff, but im sorry, tranceclub heaven and no trance... im still confudsed
as far as the openr whoever that was: well, again, im sorry but no excuse. again its the promoters job to book opening djs that work well with the night, not opening djs who think they are the star of the show and come out bangiing. that was a bad decison on the club's part, and as a clubber, my night shouldnt have to suffer cuz of that.
and if this is the "reason" why filo & peri played different.. well then if i was them i would be pissed because i know i wouldnt fly all the way across the country to play for 150 people after an opener that set me up wrong and made me play adifferent style than normal.

-please do get these pics up. i would love to see them. i stand by my estimate. 150. and maybe 200 with the poeple out in the alley smoking corral. i dont know why people seem to be delusional about this nite......
and most of them WERE cracked out asians doing that one swaying dance and i know u know what i mean.

-took some time off for the how manyth time?? the wesbite didnt take some time off, it was never on!!! do people have short term memory loss here??
wasnt it in april or march that heaven reopened at qtopia and launched their wesbite?? cos basically the website never was up to date ever, not to mention would crash our computers everytime we tried to look at the pictures, and if the dj was even up for teh event it was usually like the week of (not very useful). and if we wanna go back to ther first first heaven site, well that one was even worse! so now they are launching a 3rd site?? i mean, what is going on?? backwards day or what?? since when does a real club that wants to be taken seriosuly, start a club night without having a proper website up FIRST???? look at ANY ANY ANY ANY ANY reputable club in the world, and they will have a NORMAL at least FUNCTIONAL wesbite.
is it really that much to ask?? i mean geez, spundae has one, avalon has one, ruby skye, 1015 etc...

-well the moral of the story is maybe not to do last minute events since they are pointless and waste of everyones time and money.
and im not skipping solarstone because of "ONE" bad event, im skipping it because of months and months and months of being screrwed around with by these promoters.
at first we thought maybe the problems were coz of the venue but then we realized after how many times heaven has changed around that it isnt the venue, it has to be the promoter. and its like the gas thing, or any other thing in life. if u keep letting people take advantage of you they will do it forever, and that is what heaven is doing.
i mean a wekk ago we thought it was gonna be gielen on the opening night, flyers were passed out and all over my car and everything, and then, nope, now onto solarstone. wtf, again with the backwards thing, who the hell passes out flyers for a party that isnt even for sure?? what the hell???
they are not the only club to bring these djs out anymore btw. i see spundae doing it, i see lost episode starting to do it and i even see a lot of these djs up in san fran now too. so that is not an excuse either.
whatever obviously no ne is saying anything, maybe heaven is like the mafia or sumthin, cuz anytime i ever see anyone call them out for anything, it never gets fixed and all of a sudden everyone backs dow1n. but i see people bashing all the other clubs and djs over and over and no one says a damn thing about that.
i guess as clubbers we are at their mercy and just have to take what they feed us right? well, not me. sorry. but hey, if you show me some pics of f&p that proove me wrong, then i will admit it.
