After getting VIP tix for TIC-LA, I would recommend going with the regular tix. VIP does get you in faster with a shorter line (get there early!), but I waited 30 minutes in the "free t-shirt" line inside the venue (no VIP line for t-shirts) only to find out that all the t-shirts were just one (wrong for me) size: Large. I didn't like them that much anyway, so I bought one with a better design that would actually fit me at the other table for $25. The VIP area was off to the left of the stage, and you really couldn't see much from there and nobody really wanted to hang around there either. There was a lounge with some couches, but I never sat down since I came to dance! I suppose that if you drink over 15 drinks per night (or 20 including some bottled waters) then it might be worth it!
I just booked a room at the Orleans and a flight on Southwest. It's all fully refundable, so I just have to decide if I'm going to bite the bullet and commit for the (regular, non-VIP, non-refundable) Tiesto tickets.
Would love to see Tiesto again, and his set will be 6 hours! $100 for a 6-hour Tiesto set really isn't a bad price for NYE, considering that the alternatives will also be pricey. It's all the rest (airfare, hotel) that makes it so expensive. I once worked with a person who used the divide it over the rest of your life method: assuming that you're going to live awhile, it's only something like 15 cents per day for the next 10 years! :stongue: |

ok, just got my regular, non VIP :) tix! Called StreetSounds and Grooveriders, but they don't have tix at the stores yet, so best option was through Wantickets online ($118 vs. $130 from Orleans Box Office).
The guy at Streetsounds said I wouldn't believe how many calls he's been getting for tix to TIC NYE Las Vegas (but, actually, I would believe)! :D |

VIP for NYE in Las VEgas will be far better then the LA show - we are going to bring a lot more furniture, visuals, drapes, bars, food, party favors, champagne toast at midnight, and we are making it a complete round in front of the stage rather then off to the side. It's only $40 more then the LA VIP and it's NYE. Tshirts will be available in the VIP section, rather then out in the GA, for pick up.
We know it's NYE and we want to make sure the VIP really stands out, so you feel like you are in a club within the arena. |

Got my tix for PVD yesterday. I figure if I'm in Vegas spending $$$ for NYE, what's $40 more to hear the world's new #1 DJ! Not that I'm into the numbers game, but I've followed Paul for years, love his music and it's nice to see him get the recognition!
ICE is a small club, only holds maybe 1,500 people. I think the ticket prices will probably go up soon and this show is likely to sell out. Last time I went to ICE with my pre-sale $80 tix for Tiesto, they were $150 cash at the door! I'm actually surprised the tix didn't double to $80 the night the awards were announced. ;) |

Argh...
My trip is planned for 12-31 to 1-3
If I decide to see PVD I'm gonna have change hotel dates and all.
It is a chance to see PVD and Tiesto in one crazy weekend though. |
