I like progressive too.....BUT....I like it in the car, or in the house when Im chillin....but in the club....I only want to listen to stuff that moves me!
Proggy in a club might as well be house or hip hop...(TO ME)
I think its perfectly ok to like james holden and support him. I like a bunch of his tracks..
BUT not in a club.

For some reason I disagree with the assumption that if it isnt over 128BPM it wont "move you"
The tempo of music does not correlate to how much energy it has...I've heard 144bpm trance that bores the out of me (and 124bpm house that puts me to sleep) as well as 128bpm house that sends me through the roof, like a PVD track. |

I love it all!!!!! you can make both that night if you want to see holden! I'm playing only till 11! James holden is one of my favorite producers but I will have to pass on that night. :(
I try to find the good in all type of beats. Half my record collection is progressive house. For me, I try to find the balance between progressive house/tribal/trance.

I agree with this statement...
But we have already admited that holden's music is dark....
Dark and slow in a club is not for me...My life is dark and slow enough, At a club I like to be uplifted. Thats all.
No argument, just a statement of taste.

I dont think people who love trance have no taste. I love alot of trance too. But, I think people should be more open minded when it comes to genres. |

Hey Now...
I understand that a lot of TA's will be going to See Holden that night. Shoot Holden is amazing. I will give him that.
Anyways with that said I hope there is a lot of TA support at Spundae as well. Partys go off b/c people are there to make it happen.
So lets pack the loft again so I can keep hosting these types of events. ;) |
