nothing wrong with charging that much for a remix...
i know guys who charge 8000 pounds for a remix and they get it... the point is, the labels who pay this amount, KNOW they have a total hit on their hands, no questions asked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:P
i think as a remixer, it has to be worth your while to remix the tune and turn it into a hit.. alot of trance guys, just do boring rwemixers... people like THRILLSEEKERS, really can turn your tune into an amaziing remix.. EXAMPLE..
blah blah
im drunk! anyway uignore me!!
i charge 5000pounds?:P hahhaa
:P

ok guys, enough self nominations :P not to be rude, but if he was looking for amateur artists he would have said so.
anyway here are a few:
john o'callaghan
alex morph
stoneface & terminal
ronski speed
mirco de govia
draft 2 design
recluse
aerodrome
george hales
john askew
deepwide
mystery islands
cosmicman / sundawner
alt+f4
will holland
activa
just a few ;) and no, most of them arent cheap but you cant expect to hire most artists to remix for under 1000 euros :/ one thing you can work out (possibly) is a % sales deal. activa and aerodrome will work for such an agreement, that much i know. sometimes you can give an upfront fee and a % even. just try contacting several djs / artists, make your offer, and see what you can work out. good luck!

Does that exclude me Lucas? ;)
Seriously, if someone isn't willing to make a remix for say €300/400, when they're sure it'll make a release (unless your schedule is full with €1000+ remix requests I could understand you deny it), I think you shouldn't make music.
I personally wouldn't take JOC, Alex Morph, Passiva, Arizona or any of those 'popular' producers as they make a remix release say every week. Does take a lot away from the anticipation if you ask me lol. |

i'm also searching for some remix assignments. Check the show of chris chambers tomorrow on Di.fm to listen to my first official remix ever for Alter ego records (peter safranyos-halcyon kiss - Six senses remix). I'm not that expensive. Pm me for further information.
it's all about the music.

Well, i personally like some of his tunes, but knowing this is a Trance-forum, i would'nt go yell hardstyle-producers' names ;)
But then fun thing is, Blutonium Boy doesent even produce it himself. He has DJ Neo working the buttons while he tells him what to do! |

Man, if you want some remixes just run a competition here.
You may be surprised what you get. And there are some good ones here no doubt.
Cheers

If you`re starting off i`d recommend you do it `in house` by one of the other artists you have or even get the original artist to do a remix to save some money.
500 quid is quite reasonable i reckon for a remix.I remixed a track for Inkfish and the 250 i got for it barely covered the studio expenses,if they master themselves all the better.
Take Pvd,in 2000 he was charging 17k for remix and thats as a FAVOUR for a friend:eyespop:,it was 30k for anyone else!.I know this because my then labels distribution company wanted a remix(obviously not after picking themselves off the floor).
I wouldn`t pay for a tiesto remix, even tho it`d prob sell buckets,he`s too lazy in much of his work that justifies the expense.I`d take a remix from someone off here no problem,i`m very impressed with the standard here.
You`ve nothing to lose approaching artists who you like and asking away, many favours are done in the industry.
Best of luck
