Well all the djs were really good. The club has a nice feel and is perfect for some of that mid week music and drinks.
Darren G rocked the live to air. I was really impressed and happy to get a set of progressive and trance. Really groovy and tight mixing. Probably one of the best diverse sets I've heard in a long time.
Addy and I had fun judging the contestants and I'll try to get the promoter to post the winners, I don't have my paper with me.
one recomendation that I would have for anyone playing in a special environment.
1. Bring records and practice your sets that would fit the venue style. Not that your style isn't awsome, but sometimes you need to adjust to venues. If you have 1/2 an hour early in the night, its great to get a little more technical and show us that you can move from a deep down record, slowly upawards into your banging track. Not just jump into it. My 2 cents.

Hi Everyone,
Wanted to report back on the first night at Beba. It was a good night music-wise - soooo kewl to listen to beats from newcommers. And the context of contest made me pay all that more attention to what was playing on the decks - I was smiling for the most part.
The sound was far better than some of the nights I have worked at Beba :) and altho I made a decent amount in tips, it never really got that busy being Wednesday and it raining outside and all.
This is where we need to pick up the support....
I am really having fun with helping to provide local guys a place to practice their craft and have FUN :toocool: ..... and what better place than a venue like BeBa. Us the music lovers need to carry this night and we need more of you to come out in person to support us and the Djs!!!!
I hope to see more of you next Wednesday and don't forget to buy a drink off of me at least. :)
