In a twisted way it trivializes their cause, thus almost negating their purpose in the first place.
Was it tactful? Not really. But a lot more ing tactful than retaliating with another suicide bomber. |
omg Jon, u actually made a point  |

i can't even see the picture (what is it???), but everything can be offensive to anyone these days.
case in point: back in the day when i worked at stars, we had this promo poster for some summer drink. and people found it offensive because the two drinks apparently looked like the twin towers and there was a bee flying around in the background which obviously meant it was a plane. give me a ing break.
but i digress...
i'm sick of being all politically correct...as those who have witnessed me in my offensive prime know. ;) (and it is truly a sight to behold lol.) |

that isn't as bad as mine and my buddies' combined costume back in 2001. My one friend 6'5 and dressed up like an office tower. His brother (6'3) dressed like an identical office tower. I dressed up like an airplane.... it didn't go over well. |
wtf!! my boys did the exact same thing...iiee..that's crazy. |

other then maybe seeing it as being mean to victims, i dont see an issue. No offence to Tygon or others. They have their own views, but common. that had me rolling

I think people are just more ticked off that it's little kid in a suicide bomber costume.
Heck, I'm about non PC as it comes, but there are just limits to what kids should be... taught as amusing. |

That's basically how I felt about it. This isn't praise for suicide bombers, it's a mockery of them.
It just looks so ridiculous seeing a white kid in that costume, especially with the expression on his face - hopefully people had a good look at him and perhaps unconsciously considered that it's no less ridiculous when it's a Muslim kid with real explosives. |
