| my weapon could easily be recognised as a flaw too. My records tend to be too recogisable. Like probspot annoyingly recognisably, and probably with a similar sound to him even. |

My secret weapon? I'm not really sure. I just muck around with things and whatever sounds good to me, I use. I'm into the symphonic electronica stuff, so I guess my perfect pitch and theoretical/musical background (I played the organ for a decade plus 5 years of concert band , 2 music composition classes and a course in computer music) come in handy. I've been told my pianos are really good, too.
Oh, and timpani. LOTS OF TIMPANI. :D |

| My secret weapon is also like it's namesake. But for beats, if I use a sampler or reason's Dr.Rex then I find that using a short decay and a 95% sustain on the amp envelope creates a unique snap that sounds different to a compressor. |

imho if you've enough knowledge you can get out of boring sounds/synths quality things. producing has a lot to do with experience... |
