Hi my friend has a HD in an enclosure but lost the power cable to it, so the drive can't be accessed. Does anybody know what type of cable this is so we can get a replacement?
the left most port is the one missing the power cable.
(i know you can remove the drive from the enclosure to get the data, but that defeats the purpose of having the enclosure). Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated. |

Manufacturer/model are more important than the look of the connector.
Connectors are standardized only in the shape and voltage/amperage capabilities, not by how they are implemented, so just having that connector (which has a lot of pins which will go unused in that application) does not mean the power supply will work.
Best bet is to look up the info on the manufacturer's site.
