Whiskers didn't stop posting on TA because of Amber or because of me.
When we closed the California Plus Boomers 'N Whiskers thread, we made a forum where we (the posters of that thread) could converse as we had in the big thread.
Whiskers continued to post in the new forum with us.
If I recollect correctly, he kinda' stopped posting as much on TA after he was suspended for our Clone Wars. I think he felt that he shouldn't have been suspended because it wasn't against any written rule to clone other TAs and others who participated (Mebots and I, for example) weren't suspended.
My impression is he's just stepped away from the computer for a breath of fresh air and a taste of reality.
He'll probably pop in here and say "hi" eventually.
I also wonder about Arjan (arj101). |

Somethign more recent than the original Clone Wars would be the 're-elect Bush for president' thread. Whiskers was part of that thread, as well.

yeah the closing of the boomars and whiskers thread because of politcs by politicsofdancin and the clone wars were a good cause.

sometimes i get so bored, i search for my username on TA. for some reason the "why did whiskers stop posting" seems to be a semi-popular topic, from people with usernames i've never heard of. it's as if i'm some kind of a legend.... also, it's interesting to read what new orbax can come up with each time, to accuse me of not posting.
if anyone still cares about the answer, i simply am not interested anymore in interacting with humans through a php script. i get enough time staring at the monitor in the labs/at work/doing hw.
back in the days the chillout was full of boundless stupidity and over the years it got even worse and i just lost interest. constant arguing, attention whoring, flaming, stupidity, flaming from stupid, hypocritical idiots for not posting constructive things who themselves have nothing constructive to post, beating-a-dead-horse jokes, especially individuals taking the internet WAY too seriously - it just wasn't worth my time - it builds up. besides, people grow up and find satisfaction in other things.
for me this IS a waste of time - it's very easy to get sucked in and spend several hours reading and posting instead of living (yes, that's how i view it). i have other interests and ambitions now and i'm not saying that if you post here then you don't have ambitions, it's just what's best for ME - not to be here.
so to all the people who are saying things such as "you don't post enough, post more", "he'll come back", "what a ing idiot, turned to the darkside" (specifically, that's orbax, who pissed in your tea cup again? what darkside? why do you think you're so righteous, man, that you can judge everybody without ever talking to them? you're what, 24? i wish you'd stop being so naive - this is the first and last reply you'll get to some of your posts that concern me that i've seen) i'd like to say: just forget about me. |

i've been shying away from ta lately
i mean it was fun, but its just mostly nonsense lately
i don't even enjoy it
most of the time i'll open the COR, then after scanning the topics on the first page, completely lose interest and go play scrabble until i get tired
it was great to be a serious member of the cor for a while, don't get me wrong, but the hell if anyone's gonna ever try to make me feel bad if i lose interest
basically, community my ass
it used to be a community
hell, the local forums are still a community
but i feel like the cor is half just where people come to be dicks these days |

same here, ive had a long enough stint on TA. i dont even like trance anymore.. havnt done for about 3-4years. i think after youve had a week or 2 away from it, you just lose the desire to come back. i try and post from time to time, but i honestly cant really be arsed.
