soap and vodka are usually :D mixtures of different materials
afaik alcohol (vodka) is CH3COOH
and soap...i think you can use any substance that has a pH value greater than 7 as soap
correct me if iīm wrong :) |

there are many compounds in soap, compounds are chemically bonded (ionic or covelant) atoms of elements in respective quantities.
you would have to find out what compounds / straight atoms there is in soap to get everything.... there would be a stupendous amount
you dont wanna be knowing that anyway, all you need to know is that Tetrahydro-6,6,9-trimethyl-3-pentyl-6H-dibenzo[b,d]pyran-1-ol is C21H30O2

I'm not sure that enything with a pH over 7 can be used as soap. All I can remember from year 9 Chemistry about soaps and detergents is that the molecule basically looks something like: (+)~~~ or (-)~~~ [can't remember which]. Anyway the (*) end attaches to water and the ~~~ end attaches to oil. So when you wash your hands it attaches to the oil particles holding all the dirt on your hands together and washes them away.
Also I don't think there's such a thing as a Vodka molecule. about 37.5% of what you find in the bottle will be alcahol molecules, but the rest of it will probably be a whole bunch of crap (probably including water). |
