im in the market to buy new equipment.
Tables:
- Technics 1200s or 1210s
Mixer:
- Pioneer DJM 707
ive been told that this is the immaculate setup for any DJ. Although im starting to see that alot of people prefer allen & Heath mixers. its horribly expensive but amazing quality. also ive been told vestax mixers are just as amazing.
I want to hear your oppinions on which mixer i should buy. i want something that will last me for ages, or atleast several years...
also, any one use that final scartch device thing? i heard PVD uses it.... |

Nah, not really. Depends on the style of DJ you are.
Far a dance music DJ this mixer works but it's designed for turntablists.
People always blab on about the quality of A&H but I have had mind break down on me so take it with a pinch of salt.
A mixer is a very personal thing anyway and if you get as far as playing in the club, you pretty much have to play on what they have so you can't be fussy.
Try them out and find out what you are comfortable with.
Technics are always solid, and although there are options these seem to be the worlds favourite deck and with good reason. It works bloody well.
Cheers
