Fun and funky trance

Hey!
I've been really getting into some of the little gems in my collection that I can only describe as "fun and funky"... Flashbang - Grooveslide, Orange - Orange 3, Shove Brothers - Paranoia (Danjo & Styles Remix), for example. Tunes that really fly and drive but in more of a fun hard house kinda way, while working well with trance and not being "deep"... I love the sight of hundreds of people laughing and going "oooohh! yeah" in the middle of a trance set :)
Can anyone recommend any suitable back-cat stuff I could lay my hands on, and perhaps any lables to keep a close eye on that I don't already know about?
If samples of the above would help, let me know and I'll sort something out
Cheers! |

Hm, that's over 100MB - a mix?
If it's a mix, s'no use to me without a tracklisting.

| There's no such thing as 'funky' trance. There's only a smidgen of 'groovy' trance, perhaps, and The Digital Blonde - Karma would be an ideal example. |

| I dont think we can say "theres no such thing" anything is possible in this life, and with the technology we have, I am sure somebody can create something. :D |

There is the argument that trance is such a narrow genre that if ever anything does something truly different with it it won't be trance anymore. Which is a shame as it means that the narrow minded will just ignore it as another "scene" rather than embracing it - which is what got dance music where it is today.
But I'm not here for an argument ;) Flashbang - Grooveslide is a perfect example. One of Vincent De Moor's side projects. There is a clip on Beatport.
Cheers guys. |
