hahah I'm very indifferent about the night. Whilst blastin between 12-2 I thought Luke was 10/10, funky future house, amazing. Over the night, the set was probably one of the best programmed sets I'd heard, ever. lol
He had a steady climb going for 4 hours, wtf. And during what I call the "starry eyed surprise' climax, he showed us that he could rock the dancefloor like one of the big boys. Professional and unique.
BUT...
unfortunately as I've raised the bar so god damn high when it comes to parties it takes A LOT to blow me away. I wasn't feeling the sound system, brutal. Nor, the ultra sketchy crowd.
I realize that not every party should be "the party of the year", but it's tough not to compare based on the talent I've seen this last year alone.
ps. 7 hours and I can't ing ID one track. bahah He played a remix of the KLF - 3am Eternal, but that hardly counts as a trainspot. The whole night seems like a giant canvas/ a blur rather of future house. :p
Good job Luke! |

Excellent night. I'm really glad I came out. I had to leave at around 4 since I had to work, but I really didn't want to.
Highlight of the night - seeing Baki. It's been a while dude. You made my night by coming out. It made the whole night worth it. Thanks for the drink!
I had a really good time. I've got to go to System more often. Last night reminded me why I like that place so much. |

bad sound and sketchy crowd? Hmm...not sure if we were at the same party, lol.
Were you the one in mostly black sitting on the stage?
I think for the sound, as with most places it depends on where you are standing. I tried a multitude of places, and got varied sound last night. In the middle was probably the best and it sounded great. It got loud at times, but that was Luke playing with the volume. I was pretty happy with the clearity of it all. If that was you on the stage, then yes you would have got lots of distortion on the stage right beside a speaker.
The crowd wasnt overly friendly, but they were very polite. Not one rude look all night. If somebody bumped me or stepped on my foot, they gave me a smile an and apology. I thought the crowd was timid more than anything. |

well, i planned on leaving a lot earlier than i actually did, so it must have been good! was sooooo happy to hear the charlatans remix. and i NEED to know who did that "tunnel of love"(?) remix that is also on the danny howells/groove armada @ space set. i adore it! hearing that made my night.
nice seeing some faces i haven't seen out in a while, as well as meeting some new people (and re-meeting people for that matter!). good times. :D |

hah dude, the system in there is garbage, unfortunately Boa has set the standard in sound excellence. Nothing can compete to that baby (minus maybe Ministry)
And to be fair, you're right the crowd was great. But I always find that "ever thinning" line of happy/sketch factor to be crossed earlier and earlier these days. |

yeah i have not been to boa still, so i cannot say. I'll let you know soon enough though ;)
As for the sketchys, i just think the word is over used. The people were fine, and seemed the same through the night. The only weird ones i saw, were the guys in heavy coats, dancing and taking up like 10 square feet at the back at about 6am. Atleast they still wanted to party :p |

A great night indeed.
Took me awhile to get my groove going at first. But, very early on Luke started to get the party rocking. I remember checking my watch at around 12:30 (when the place was jumping) and realizing he still had a good agood six and half hours to go, that alone had me impressed.
He wasn't really much of a charmer though was he? I swear he looked up about five times in eight hours! It's a shame that someone who looks so dreamy couldn't smile and get more involved with the crowd. Oh well, to each his own.
I thought the crowd was awesome. I didn't really notice the sketchbags because the entire night I seemed to be surrounded by TA's. So great to see everyone again and also to meet some new people. LOL the last couple of hours were just me and the boys representing! I am always impressed by the lot of you who are always so friendly and welcoming. It makes any night so much more memorable.
All in all I got to boogie my heart out so I left happy :D Until next time guys! |

I know what you're mean. The kind of parties I've experienced in 2005 have really set my expectations high, and this is definately the best year of my clubbing life. |

KUDOS to the KLF around 3 - I AGREE :) The night started off slow and yes, the sound system seemed a little off and not loud enough. HOWever, as the night progressed - so did the music :)
