ok... thinking of picking up a pair of gemini cfx-30, seems like a good cdplayer, BUT i have a few questions about it.
couldnt find some info regarding the pitch control... Does it move in 0.1% increments ONLY? if so...WOW... so you have to pitch bend all the time while doing a transition? whats the point of having 4-8-16 range options then? just to decrease the sensitivity of how it jumps from 0.1% to 0.2% to 0.3%??
do they suck? or they alright for mixing if you get used to spinning the jog wheel, or pushing pitch bend buttons every 10 seconds during the transition?
thanks for your comments! |

| Your answer lies in the fact that its a Gemini. |

| The fact that its 0.1 isnt that bad considering thats what cdj-100s are. Id be more worried about the fact that it will stop function after a few months. |

well ok...now compare it to cdj-200...only a few bucks price difference, but... %0.02 ...and its pioneer!
how would you prove that they gonna stop working in a few months, tho? any reviews? posts by board members? anything? |

If its only a few bucks different, why on earth are you even CONSIDERING Gemini's over the Pioneers?:conf: :conf:
That just doesn't even make sense! |

a bunch of effects of geminis thats what got me interested... but then i looked at pioneer and since im a minimalist, I like do to long (2-3 mins at least) transitions, I think im gonna go with them. |

| Ok well iv never owned a gemini cd player myself but iv used them in stored etc etc. They feel so flimsy and beh.. Iv mostly only ever heard bad stories about how cheap their build is the onltime iv heard something good about geminis was from the same person who was telling me that geminis have great sound quality. |

0.1% is a nightmare. I've just started out and have Numark CDN22's with 0.1%, it's so hard to do anything else like bring the track in or change the EQ's because your constantly having to pitch bend to keep the track in time. |

no offence but u cant be very good at beatmatching if u r constantly having to pitch bend to keep tracks in time theres nothing wrong with .1% |

| aye there is nothing wrong with .1% just means you have to touch the platter or ride the pitch a few times in a mix. |
