What can I say, the movie was FANTASTIC!
Probably the best movie I've seen in 2005. Definitely a must see and worth a rating of 4.5 stars (out of 5). |
so it was good eh .... now I can't wait to see :D and the main actress (Knightley) is one of my fav ones, she's so pretty |

Confirm / Deny.
:clown: |
confirm that one!
it's the beginning cut of it obviously, for texture, it comes up 3 times in the film or so.. good stuff
It was a good movie, not exactly what I was expecting but it delivered something fresh and entertaining. deffinately worth the wait for me, tony scott never dissapoints and his crank-cam work is brilliant. (it got a lil off for me when everything got so filtered though, from the over acidic treatment! aha, but that only happened for like 2 or 3 shots in the film so it's ok).
That rap song though... has to go |

As a regular movie go-er and huge movie buff.. i have to say that i enjoyed this movie quite a bit...the visual aspect of it was very cool...
the cinematography had a very "Guy Ritchie" feel which i really liked... and the coloring to the movie was really cool and i liked the music choices...
i'd have to say this one is a DEFINATE gamble to go see @ a theater..
but i would for sure suggest it to ppl that like action movies with sparatic comic relief...
of course.... having a best friend who works at the theater and gets you in for free all the time would make any movie worth seeing @ a theater i guess.... hahaha

I'm gonna go see it today but expect to be disappointed since the reviews are bad.
As a fun little project I'm making my own version of the official Domino trailer. Not quite finished and needs some tweaking but you can take a look:
***EDIT*** video is now finished, scroll down a few posts and I posted the URL and download details *****
BTW the movie is based on the real Domino, details are on the Web and at http://dominomovie.com (sad story). |

Saw the movie yesterday. The best part in the entire movie was when it ended!!
DOMINO SUCKS! (but dominos pizza aint bad)
The plot was boring, the script was just bad,& the way Tony Scott does the camera work makes it look even worst.
The movie falls apart within the first 15 minutes and drags on. By the end of the movie I wanted everyone to just die off.
But thats my opinion. Maybe you will like it.. but I think more people wont.
2 hours & 7 minutes of my life im never getting back. :( |

I'm gonna give it the "not as bad as expected" rating, I saw it a few hours ago.
It has an interesting look to it, but there's no meat in this movie, no character development, and not much of a plot. If you have a cheap video rental night in your town, just wait for it to comeout on DVD in 4 months.
If you decide to see the movie, definitely frst read all the info you can about the main character Domino Harvey on the WWW or http://dominomovie.com since the movie is very fast-paced and it helps if you know something about who she is, otherwise you will become lost and/or confused by this movie which is very fast-paced and has too many secondary characters. |

Batman Begins for me |
First and foremost this movie was soooo over-rated. 95% of the movies that come out these days are trash and should go directly to video. Unfortunately when a decent movie comes out the critics jump for joy because they have a winner. IMO films that come out that are winners according to critics are only "average" when comparing to films from the past, and this is one of them.
My thoughts on Batman Begins:
Bale tries way too hard to be this macho guy. Especially with his vocal change when being batman. The fight scenes were extremely choppy and dark; yes they're supposed to be dark but I couldn't see what was going on 90% of the time. Now I am only referring to the scenes when hes fighting as Batman. And damn that Batmobile was FUGLY! Other than that I think Nolan tried way too hard to make this a comic book film come to life -> see Sin City.
Verdict: 7/10
Now that I've gone completely on a tangeant... back to the topic at hand... Domino.. Tony Scott's Man On Fire (2004) was a great film and definately got to me when it was finished. To see the critics bash this film as bad as it is shows that Scott was just trying to make some quick cash. Probably not trying to go for a good story or character development but moreso to just entertain. I'll be attending this film tonight and will post my review after. |

I've finished tweaking my version of the Domino movie preview if anyone wants a look. Basically I re-editted the preview sort of in a music video style to make it more exciting. The added music is Commander Tom - Attention (original club mix) which is referred to as trance or hard trance in discogs.com but I'd say it's more vocal progressive electro-house.
This version of the preview is not so good as the original official studio preview in telling you what the movie is about, since I changed the order of things and the new music sometimes covers up the dialogue, but it is more exciting. And the music I used is not in the movie where they mostly used rock.
It's a 28 MB .wmv file, downloads in about 7 minutes with cable or DSL modem. Run time 3:47.
If you have a fast computer and video card try playing the video double size or full screen, and turn up the bass.
http://www.filefactory.com/get/f.ph...242b429423eddb3
After you click the link, you'll then need to click past 2 or 3 web pages that will delay you about 10 seconds each. Then you'll come to a page that gives you 3 different types of links to download the actual video. The bottom selection for "FileFactory HTTP" is probably the easiest method. I suggest "save file as..." to save the video file on your computer and then view it with your video player program by dragging, or double click the file.

that sums it up quite perfectly.
and the industry wonders why box office reciepts are down.
they keep cycling out the same garbage movies one after another. you also forgot to mention that will be $9 + 2hrs and 7 minutes you'll never get back. |
