My last name is Ragalyi (pronouned 'ruh'gah eee'

And my DJ name is 'Rawguy' [ A friend wrote that on the demo cd I sent to the venue.

now that is what the owner is putting on the fliers. (for this evcent and for the next one)

At first I wanted to used my full name, but then I figured it's not easily pronounced either (well it is, if you know HOW to pronounce it)

I wouldn't fret about it too much. It stands out and besides, it would make a great story if you make it to the top 100 DJs.

cheers

w00t!

:D

Yahh... ppl don't usually notice mistakes mate. I noticed that too.

But just be careful. Some ppl are "trainspotters". They listen very carefully to the music, and listen carefully to mistakes. <---- these are the ppl u see, and think, ", better get it right". They spot mistakes quick. Very few of them but. Had one in my first gig, he was the barman. :D He said i shouldn't mix the vocals so close together. But it was an RnB crowd, so i felt like i had no choice. Recieved some nice compliments from him but.:thepirate

AAARG I hate the dreaded hip hop request. The first time I played out in NYC, my friend and two partners were throwing this party @ a place called Remix. There were probably about 200 people there. We took a charter bus in with literally 65 people, all friends of friends, etc, and got wasted on the bus. I wasnt even supposed to be spinning but my friend throwing the party said to bring records and he'll throw me on to close the party. (He had like 3 other DJ's paid to play that night) - So at like 2:00 AM, he tells the last DJ who was spinning -hop, that he's gotta wrap it up. He gets pissed cuz he was supposed to play till 3:00 or something, ( him he got paid), and doesn't want to stop. (like 75% of the people there were out friends, my boy's partners SUCKED and brought no one to this party). So all my friends, who are tanked by this point, start chanting "robdawg! robdawg!" it was cool as . I reached into the booth and shut of the surge protector while this clown was still playing. (this story's getting long). Anyways, the -hop DJ's friends try to start a fight not realizing that we got like 40 dudes and they got like 5. I dunno exactly what happened, but they got carried out of the club and thrown out on the sidewalk. I played a solid hour of trance for all my friends and thier friends etc, it was cool as having everybody I know that, wouldn't have traded it for anything.

Well Done Dude, but will like to tell you something about People (Esp.Chicks) Requesting, Many people as far as i know they only ask for HIP HOP. (atleast i was asked 100 times to play Hip hop at ANY house or Trance or Desi party.) what you can do i find or mix your self some Hip Hop HOUSE in other words *uck the Hip hop track so badly that no one should ask for it again :disbelief . like once my Friend mashed up some Sexy basslined House track with Hip Hip and when i played it.. i was happy (house) people were happy too (hiphop)... and remember the club owner cares only about one thing people should keep buying drink and dance to the dj. ;)
