Well guys you spun great music and were awesome to meet, but this thread is more to express my disappointment and embarassment in everything else.

I go to collosseum (dont even like that over priced place)cause i like to hear good music and like to support out of town talent.
But it's pretty disappointing and discouraging when even staff disappears to Phoenix.

The fights from jacks and diesel are a deterrant (sp?) as well.
Bad location, bad prices no promo's (ie drink specials), no heaters on the patio where you are not allowed to bring ur frickin drinks, nothing is making people want to leave the bigger club with cheap drinks, heated patio that you can drink on and much more room and faces.

Not to mention how sickening collosseum makes the london scene look....it actually makes it look worse then it kinda is.

Now lemme get started on phoenix....oh lord...
every time i go there's a MINIMUM of one tweaked out stalker literally following me and getting in my face...wtf is wrong with these crackheads when i say go away and dont talk to me i mean it and yes i am a bitch all the more reason to ge the eff away from me...nope...guess they dont get it.
then there's the awesome 2:30am bouncers cut the music and yell at you to get the out after they took ur glasses and bottles of water...ya that's good business.

This is what makes people stray away from supporting the scene/music

i apologize the "staff" that went to phoenix isnt staff im a moron and not up to date on these things.
Sorry again for the misinformed judgement on that.

point of the story

i hate london lol

I understand your frustration, expecially when I/we are the ones throwing it and noone showes up in the first two hours of the event at the door.

As for the Phoenix thing, Myself and a few went down to shoot video for a project Im working on which I would have done at colosseum but due to the poor turnout, we were forced to move elsewhere.

Im sorry for that, We are trying, just there isn't as much support as we had innitally recieved.

When you're trying to promote and bring people into a club but you have no support from the club itself, it's not that easy.

I mean I've been there for 99% of Paradigm events, designed flyers, and routinely bring a handful of people with me and the ppl who are there have a great time. But this club would be nothing on Saturday nights if it weren't for Barry, Michelle, Jodi and a few others. NOT because of the people running the place unfortunately.

i wasnt making any digs at anyone in a bad way...as i said i thought some ppl still worked there and not just you michelle and ampz lol there was a bouncer and another familiar face....
i understand exactly why you wouldnt and couldnt film at collosseum...
i mean i was there and dancing by myself on the small lil dancefloor it was very lonely ... so i had to head over to where my friends were for company i didnt know anyone there but Nuera kinda lol barely really lol
I wish there was more that we could do but unfortunately there doesnt seem to be. :(
I will be doing everything in my will to stay home this weekend as I will be attending Dekoze @ Frog Oct 27th, Mayhem @ Systems Oct 28th and Lawler at Guv Oct 29th so i realllllly need to save the money and get a tonne of crap done around the house....
hope to see you all at the aforementioned events...ya im a geek using big words!

The problem with London is that it's far from Toronto to make it worth to get there.
While the Vault had a solid core of TAs to draw from Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph and Cambridge area, it was also close enough to Toronto to draw TAs from there.
Is Phoenix another club that caters to EDM?

Still, every party begins with few people. Who knows?
