You have to pay for them. Or make friends who can sing, I guess.
Any sites that are sharing them for free are sharing them illegally. |

Well there aren't pay sites if that's what you mean (there might be a few pay sites for original acapellas but not for remixing purposes).
If you want a clean, proper acapella for a remix then you need to get in contact with the label the original track was released under. Either that or get it from the actual artist but make sure you clear it with the label first if you plan on getting it signed. I'm told it can be difficult when you're not signed on a major label, but it never hurts to try - depending on the label they may either not answer you at all, ask for royalty rights or exclusive rights to the remix, and/or ask for something up front...
Oh, and if you hunt around, a lot of records will have acapella "versions" of a track. That's the most convenient way to find 'em, but again, you have to clear it with the label if you intend to try and make any money from it. |

| well illegally everyone uses, acapellas4u.co.uk, sadly it just got shut down, probarbly the biggest database of pellas on the net.. some do come on vinyl though, like the jan johnston calling your name, i dunno though i only ever used acapellas4u.co.uk |

| It's very hard to get an accapella you'd really like to have... Like DigiNut says, I think it might be best to ask the appropriate label for it. |

| thanks guys. i wanted the accapella for 'pearl river' i really wanna have a crack at this track! i remember about six or seven years ago seeing a box by vestax.. an 'isolator' if i remember rightly... anyone know what im on about. they sometimes come up on ebay and they apparently can isolate vocals and cut them out of a track.. i wonder if they can do the opposite? it seams like an impossibility that a single box could do that.. |

| ^ You're treading into übern00b territory there, Rich... I won't say anything because I know you've been at this for a while and that you do put effort into producing, but you really shouldn't be asking that question! |
