I spoke to one guy that has it in oakville. He said he has three of them, one that runs and two that he uses for parts.
Lada tried to infiltrate the North American market in the late 80s, early 90s... But unsuccesfully had to pull out. They were selling Ladas purely for cost, 7,8 thousand for a brand new car, in order to attepmt to compete. But there was no demand.
Right now if you go to Russia though you ll see plenty of highly modified ladas, many have motor upgrades from bmws and mercedes...
There was even a pobeda made as a "victory" (WW2) edition, with a Benz 600 motor.

Now that's what I'm talking about. BMW's are all-around great cars but Mercedes is a car, in a class of it's own. Technically speaking, the BMW & Mercedes in this model are quite the same but overall Mercedes has a nicer chassis. I'd go for this as well :D |
