Unfortunately, I didn't catch him this time around.
But from hearing several people talk about it, it seems his main room set was on point, but his patio set was average, at best (which is surprising cause he rocked the patio last time he was here). |

all of that and more.....space basically had all the lights out in the club with the occasional strobe and some club lights at times...set the vibe nice, behind lawler was all these big pots that had fire coming out of them like 2 feet high or so...it was siick, he was having a blast up there and it was rather dark and deep which is what i expected his mainroom set to be...played a bunch of tracks of lo3, few i remember...
Daniele Tinio Pres. Rise & Peace - Drop That Bomb
Planet Funk - Stop Me (King Unique Electric Itch Dub)(dope )
Funky Green Dogs - Reach For Me (Lawler's 4am In Harlem Mix)
Axwell - Feel The Vibe (Seamus Haji Exclusive Lights Out Edit)
but like gavin said definitely smoked my brain with some of those twisted sounds in the mainroom, i only lasted till about 9:30 or so on the terrace, i heard he stopped at around 10 anyway so all in all it was a good night....i enjoyed the mainroom a lil more though i think, as the darkness is really where lawler's sound belongs, but for sure he knows how to rock a terrace and changed so accordingly.. so there it is briefly... a great warm up to sander indeed!!!
edit: hpw could i forget, one of teh last tracks he played int he mainroom.....old skool flava.....underworld-born slippy(dont know if remix or accapella but it was le sickness!!!) |

| Rizzo!! You loser, that wasn't real fire bro, those were just fire-prop lights... and I definitely disagree with you about the vibe, Mr. Superman. Everyone seemed discombobulated, bumping into me and standing around. Maybe it was just because it was dark, regardless the vibe was much better at Armin. As for the music though, Lawler dropped some crazy dark, tribal house downstairs... Completely In Yo' Mind!! I liked it, way different than his terrace set which was more reminescent of the Miami house sound I love. I thought he jammed it out on the terrace, but I couldn't figure the man out. He's definitely a weird one, I can't tell if he was actually having fun up there. I hear the JooF party was the spot Saturday, can't win them all. NO WILMA, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:tongue2 |

| i never got into the main room set.. like dr. said- i wasnt sure if steve was having fun or what since he barely looked up either downstairs or on the patio. who knows, but he definitely rocked the terrace the first couple of hours.... then it went downhill imo. unfortunately, i wasn't that impressed overall; i had higher expectations of him for the first time ever seeing him perform |
