What do you guys think about the Vestax VMC-002?

http://vestax.com/v/mixers/vmc-002.html

There seems to be positive public opinion about the Vestax 275, but what about some of the other Vestax mixers?

Also, if someone would comment about Behringer as well... that would be nice.

I'm thinking about buying some equipment, but I don't have a lot of money to spend. I think the first thing to purchase would be a mixer, since I can use other devices for playback right now.

I'm also interested in getting Pioneer CDJ-100S, since they seem to be pretty much standard (or close enough).

I have a problem, though. Whenever I buy something, I want to buy the best, and that isn't always possible. One can still dream. =P

Get the CDJ 200's...there are more features and more accuracy pitch wise. Along with seamless loop and 2 effects. Plus they're prettier and I think around the same price.

I don't know about the mixer though. Vestax I've heard still has a problem with fader pop on their faders. :whip:

I'm looking on djdeals.com (just for a quick price comparison) and the 200's go for $399, whereas the 100's are $289 ($110 difference).

Yeah...i'd still take the CDJ-200's over the 100's

the difference between 0.10% accuracy and 0.02% is amazing.

Point taken.

As noted in my original post, I'm still thinking about getting the mixer first. The CD decks will come later.

Anyone have any thoughts on the mixer? It's a basic 2-channel mixer, and Vestax seems to have a pretty good reputation in terms of durability and build quality. I couldn't find very many reviews about it, or very many comparisons to other similar mixers.

+1 to that, either the 200 or the 800 is a good start...try them both out and see which one you think "feels" better. Unless you really want mp3 :toothless

Personally, I heard that vestax faders are exponential...and this mixer does not look like you can set the volume fader curve. For the price median of about 200 dollars (results from froogle) I think there are some other mixers that would probably be better. I'll need to get back to you on that. :)
