I prefer canon. The xt may feel cheap but arguably takes nicer photos then the equivalent Nikon(which name escapes me now).

Going to pick up a Canon Digital Rebel XT today locally. I figured if I pick one up from here, I would not have any warranty issues, easier to get some pointers, etc. Now which lens would a new user like me would need?

get a rebel XT
if you have some extra cash, get the 20D, but if you do have that cash get a lense instead.
anything else is strictly amateur (unless you go for a 5D or 1D :) ) |
