| Yea, I'd still pick the R34 over the new one. |

ditto.
and am I the only one who feels that it looks kinda...cheap?
curious to see how the so-called "911 turbo eater" stacks up though...that could be quite a ride. |

Definitely a nice car, but if I were to spend over $100k on a car it has to come with a minimum of a V8 and naturally aspirated. IMO turbo charging a consumer automobile is the equivalent of an athlete taking steroids, it's cheating. The true test of engineering is when an outfit can develop and engine the produces just as much power as a turbo engine but without the turbo and/or supercharger.
Examples of well developed enegines:
BMW's inline 6 that powers the M3 produces 330 hp, naturally aspirated.
BMW's 5L V10 producing 500 hp which powers the new M5.
etc. |

| Well to be fair, a turbo on a Skyline engine means absolutely nothing in terms of reliability, as those engines are strong as tanks. |

Sick link Cale.
I still like the original GT-R concept which had come out a few years ago. Obviously it never made it to market, but i found it to be a much cleaner look.
This car does look very nice, and from the side profile it has the shape of the Koenigsig(or how ever you spell it). Same sloping rear window angle. |

No disputing that BMW produces some great engines...Porsche isn't exactly a slouch in that regard though.
Good luck finding an *equivalent* size/displacement NA engine that will outperform a good turbo app. It's not really fair to say that giant V10 is "better engineered" than a smaller turbo application any more than to say the converse is true.
How is it any greater feat of engineering to develop a giant V8 (or V10) vs. developing a smaller displacement 4 or 6 with a turbo or supercharger?
Nitrous...now THAT is cheating, IMHO ;)

I think it looks SWEET! I find it much better than the concept car that came out a few years ago. It's very different, but it somehow still manages to keep its "Skyline-ness"
Actually, last time I was in TO, I was at Dufferin Mazda, and they had an old R32 Skyline for sale! I think they were asking $21K!! :eyes:
I was VERRRRRRYYY tempted! |

| It looks nice enough, but IMO I'd rather have the Skyline than this new one. Too bad it's gone for good. |

If only they would put that in the G35 Coupe 6M. They would have a car they could not keep on the lot. Doesn't make sense to me, since they offer it on the Auto-Sedan. |
