News report screw up...so-called "flooding"

Someone was telling me today that they saw a clip on The Daily Show and also on Letterman...about this reporter in New Jersey that was sitting in a canoe talking about how crazy the flooding was there...and then 2 guys in the background walked by with big rain boots and started laughing b/c the water was only like a foot deep!
Has anyone seen that clip...and know where I can get it? I think that'd be hilarious to see! Damn lying jerks! Haha That clip is bound to be floating around the internet soon enough. |

its not a big deal in itself but its evidence of a bigger picture. I never believe what the media says anymore. Look at what they did to toronto with sars. I think they are doing the same thing now with this supposed pandemic.
Scare people by making a mountain out of a mole hill. Sure it could happen but maybe it wont. A meteor could hit us tomorrow too! If we all believed that the media would exploit that too. |

Couldn't agree with you more! This is one of the topics we were talking about in my political economy class the other day...which is how it was brought up. How we're fed all these lies...and even though we find out they're lies, many people still believe them!
The naivity...is that a word? Haha
And yes...TOTALLY would have done that on purpose. Infact, Cale and I were talking about this last night...I would have pushed the person I was with or something...or tripped and fell..."tie" my shoe. Hehe...just to make a scene! Attention feeeeen. |

The best part about that is that they don't even have laces to tie, 'cause they're wearing rubber hipwaders. That'd be classic. |
