Lawler at House of Blues

Sorry for the late review, had some problems with TA account-anyhow-what a show. I think it is the best I have seen Lawler-not too dark, but just dark enough, some melodic, some chunky bass and a few drums- typical bangin Lawler:whip:

Maybe it's because I am bit out of the loop these days, but I hoonestly didn't recognize one track except for the Skeleton Key track (I think!). It was pretty damn good all around though-very good mixing of course-excellent track selection for the crowd and setting and Lawler seemed to be in a bit of a better mood than normal-actually somewhat frinedly-at the end of the show he came out to the front of the stage and threw a bunch of LO 3 posters signed by him-which I happened to snatch one. The crowd was pretty good-very crowded although I think only about half were there to actually see him.

Nice to see some familiar faces there, my apologies if I offended or annoyed anyone-was rather inebriated! All in all a very fun night-was very refreshing after going to Lights Out this year in Miami-not that it sucked but way too hot and crowded. Wish I was going to be around for Howells and Warren in Orlando on Halloween, saw Howells here in Jax last year for Howellsoween-awesome show. Going to miss it this year but oh well-

I'LL BE AT SASHA IN LAS VEGAS BITCHES!!!

First of all wtf, house of blues sucked as a venue for this event, it is my second time in hob and i noticed the lighing sucks, what they really have is not really club lighting but stage lighting, it is steve lawler's lights out 3 tour and the place is so lighted up that u can see very one in the floor doing everything, steve lawler had the staff cut out the two light that were giving light to the decks and he was using a flashlight for the begining of the set. then he was able to stop using it since it was so lighted up. i went up to the guy in charge of the lighting effect and showed him the steve lawler flyer that were all over the club and pointed out the words
"Lights Out 3" and told him that it was to lighted up, then the stupid a*s gave me the middle finger, man i just wanted to jump over and spill like water or beer all over the electrical equiptment they had there, but whatever, hob sucks in my opinion, as a venue. sorry for the long story i was just really mad. this was my first time seeing steve lawler live and i have to say he didn't really play what i in the first place got into him for, tribal house, i have some of his sets, and they are some of the best tribal house sets i own, so that my review for steve, it was ok though, i had fun.

i totally agree that the HOB was way to lit up, but lawler is getting away from playing his tribal house, he said that LO3 he is playing what he is feeling now which is more of an electro house, he still threw down an awesome set, but yes the venue could have been perfect if they would have killed the lights and let him guide us through a dark sensory depleting adventure

If you go to a Lawler set expecting to hear a style... then you don't know Steve Lawler.

i know he doesn't really define himself as being tribal house but i got into him because he kind of introduced me to tribal house, i mean the first set i ever heard by him, was mostly tribal house so. but i know is true, he does not seem him self as a tribal house dj, he just plays the house he feels.
