*Puts nerd hat on*
On a completely unrelated topic to music, but one that is very important to me. The book I have been waiting for over three years to be published has finally been released. If any of you likes fantasy I would strongly recommend this series. The series is called 'A Song of Ice and Fire' and the first book is called 'Game of Thrones'. If you have read Lord Of The Rings and were impressed by the scope and scale, you need to read these books.

Anyway, once again sorry for the complete lack of relevance to TA but I am just so happy that this has finally come out, that I needed to share it with everybody.

sorry about that i should have made it clearer, it ended up being a bit of a put two and two together message but oh well.

okay well i give respect to LOTR because it was the beginning of fantasy and so forth but i find that tolkien waffles and spends two pages describing the flowers in a meadow. he is also pretty predictable, george r. r. martin is in no uncertain terms a heartless bastard that is completely unpredictable and uncaring for any of his characters. also the style in which the books are written is like nothing i have ever read before. each chapter is written from a different characters perspective so you get some really interesting insights into the storyline and the scope and detail of his setting in immense.

long story short, stop being lazy and read these books if you are into fantasty.

whoops there i go again ranting and raving without actually answering the question. so here goes the title of the new book is "A Feast For Crows", and it is the fourth book in the series which is why is mentioned the series and the first book because it would be unwise to pick up the fourth book and start reading it.

omg, so fvcking true. maximum respect to tolkien for what he achieved, but those books had far too many moments like this. yeah, ok. the tree is green, i get it. move the fvck on. *yawns*

yeah, thats what my friend told me. so in those life (or character) threatening situations, its 10x better coz youre really not sure whether theyre going gonna make it or not. imo thats really important.

pretty much, but it is not really a typical fantasy book it much more political in its storyline, so alot of the moves that are made are completely unpredictable and utterly ruthless. they leave you scratching your head going, how did that just happen.
