| well i cant really be ed going into in depth long discussion but there is so a little tranceaddict in all of us... its just with the fans of it its more cultivated within them i reckon... if people truly gave it a chance (which really is harder than it sounds, hell its hard for me to give some tracks a chance and i love this music!) i think it would bring them to a style they truly love, everyone gets into this through totally differant means i used to hate all 'techno' and one day i caught the binary finary - 1998 bug after hearing it a mates at didnt look back, i think its a combination of wanting to know more but some people there just not intrested argh! but they could soo love it!!! it kinda frustrates me! there missing out bigtime! (sorry this is really a general winge) and then they say that totally contridicts themselves and you just think argh! if it wernt for your iggnorant ' i hate repetetive music etc. ' assumptions youd love it! |

thanx for explaining :)
no, i dont think anyone would like trance... just like not everyone likes hardcore (gabber), rock, metal, rap, u name it & there is someone thats not into it... not because they dont WANNA like it, but because they dont feel with the music... like metal, i cant stand it, a bunch of ppl screaming their asses off, even if i would open up to that kinda music, i still wouldnt like it, im not attracted to screaming ppl, the guitars n stuff r ok by me, even like em most of the time... other example: radiohead... they dont make bad music, but it sounds soooooooooooooooooooooooo depressing i dont wanna hear it, cuz im not into feeling depressed... |

Here is my 411 on music. Trance rules.......nothing else comes close.
First of all.......rock is declining and has been for yrs....no one likes s screaming their heads off. Now to RAP or as i call it Retards Attempt at Poetry.......everyone is sick of the bling bling ......no real substance behind it. See honestly i don't give what ppl think of trance.......they can call it what they want. I like trance. See i'm converted a bunch of ppl into tranceaddicts. For instance....a black friend of mine who likes rap and hip hop...he came with me to pvd@koolhaus in feb and wanted trance mixtapes afterwards. He saw Tiesto with me in Oct and met the ta crew. He is now a tranceaddicted blackman. Same with some of my other friends. See in my book.......nothing is addictive as trance......cause trance has this power of drawing you to it. |

if this is true, then why do you motherfackers not like my muzak? huh? :D
lmao man! it was so 1998 that got me into electronica!..now i laugh when i think of my roots. not a malicious laughter, of course, but more of a reminiscing of the good ol' days, and not believing that i used to like trance more than hardcore. :D
Now to RAP or as i call it Retards Attempt at Poetry.......everyone is sick of the bling bling ......no real substance behind it
dude, that's commercial rap. everything that's musical and is accompanied by the word 'commercial' is bound to suck, or wear out its welcome extremely fast. take a look at the underground hip-hop scene, or even some of the 'unpopular' rap artists. there is a lot of intelligent political statements in there, very clever lyrics. :)
granted, trance is addictive. but i think any music that you convert to is addictive and drawing, or else you wouldn't have left your previous tastes for something different. like myself, for example. i used to be the most punk rock mofo. i hated anything that wasn't punk (oh, the ignorance of youth), and then i heard some electronic. i actually don't know wear i'm going with this, i'm pretty baked .. so.. yeah. ignore this last paragraph.. or if you can see where i was going with it (i completely forget) glean whatever you can from it, and reply... so i can at least understand what i was talking about. now i'm rambling. this is awful. i'm sorry.
peace. :D |
