i entered that oceanlab competition, like everybody else, but i did two versions. one was the one that made it to the finals (Andreas Reuterberg remix) and the other one was this "standard" trancer. i guess they thought the other one was better but i might as well post a clip of the cheesier version here if anybody has anything to say about it :)

i think it's a bit off key at some places but nothing major..

Well I must have cheesy taste then.... I thought it was pretty good. ;)

I especially like how you shifted the vocals (i.e.- the word "half" is on the first beat of the first bar as opposed to the first beat of the second bar, etc.).

Fat sounds. Nice Structure. Not energic enough percussian to match those MASSIVE synths.

That being said, I think this tracks don't fit a cheese-wrapping. I mean, it's just too dark and sad...

I've always loved that vocal.... great productions here, keep up the good work.

hehe funny how I'm remixing it as well the same time...lol...but then again everybody remix that song...

Well, I think the Vocal is off key, I mean doesn't come in the right place...I'm not sure about it though.
The mix could use a bit more attention though, everything comes on everything, the kick gets swallowed a bit when the main lead comes...It's like that lead takes control once it's in...
Except that you got some nice sounds there, pretty phat synths!
Is it finished? if not - did you finish it?

Keep it up bro! =)
andreas1999
yeah pretty much everyone remixed satellite for their competition :).. i did finish it and sent it in. but they chose my other, harder/darker, remix instead.

thanks for the comments! :)

Pads are cool, The synth is cool, the notation is cool. You need more work on the kick and percussion. The synth could do with more effects panned delay etc...

is the comp still happening? up? or finnished.

good solid product, love the vocals ;) and yea definately not cheeze, i liked the main leads but though overal layering is a bit muddy.
