Problem with removable devices

Hi all
From about two weeks I'm having problems trying to read removable devices... (floppy disk, pen memory, ipod and so on)
I already re-load the setup defaults @ bios, and reinstalled the usb drivers but the problem is still there.

Any suggestion?

thx

Try disconnecting, then reconnecting the USB connections to the motherboard. Turn off the power supply first!

Is this a USB card reader? Internal or external? ECS internal USB multi-card readers suck! If you have an ECS motherboard, don't get the ECS internal card reader! They don't seem to like to work together. Get some other brand!

I'm using the USB avaiable in my motherboard (Asus A7V8X-X), and this problem started now... before i always used pen memory, ipod etc without any problems :S

and as I said the problem is also with the floppy disk driver
the problem is not with the usb (since i'm actually using a usb mouse & keyboard), but with removable devices

All I can suggest is to try all the rear onboard USB inputs and all the front USB inputs to see if all are working properly. An easy way might be to buy a cheap USB hub and plug it into a USB port that works.
