Hi, does anyone know any techno electronic band who plays guitars in their music just like Grayarea band ?
chillsonic
i don't know what you mean by techno electronic bands, but deep dish and junkie xl tend to use guitars in a lot of their songs.

LOL, I read the first few words and instantly thought "Grayarea!" They're definitely the most notable example...

I believe that one of the members of Infected Mushroom was originally a guitarist for a thrash metal band, but I can't confirm whether or not he actually uses it in the production cycle. My guess is that he does, at least sometimes. Haven't seen him bust it out at a live PA though...

Do they actually play guitar, or just use sampled guitars?

yes. they use live electric guitars on a number of tracks such as stretched and none of this is real. both electric and acoustic. they have an additional live member also called erez that plays their guitar arrangements guitar for them live.

they also have alot of synth arrangements that sound similar to crunchy distorted guitars - noteably in 'the shen'. that arp sound midway through sounds like a crazy overdriven 303 set to play a metal lick.
