I'm buying a laptop soon, at the moment i have an audiophile 2496 in my desktop and its fine (i dont need anything more powerful).
So, these are the options ive got now. Focusrite Saffire, Presonus Firebox, and M-Audio Audiophile Firewire. Are there any USB interfaces worth looking at?
The focusrite has its own dsp and stuff but is obviously the most expensive one (and hard to find - i havent found any online stores in australia that sell them!). I would rather buy the Audiophile firewire since its half the price of the other two. However, i'm scared of unbalanced in/out. What does this mean? And will it make a big difference?
Can anyone give me a bit of direction here? I'm happy to pay the bit extra for the saffire, as long as its worth it :D |
