I just read this article about police raiding people's houses in Belgium cause they used Napster. Check it out (taken from zdnet):

Music body is passing the names of song swappers to the Belgian boys in blue

Belgian police have been raiding the homes of suspected Napster users since December 2000, the Belgian authorities admit Friday.

ZDNet Belgium reported Thursday that the Belgian arm of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) claimed to be giving police the names of thousands of suspected users of song-swapping site Napster. According to reports the Belgian police have been searching the homes of suspects since late December 2000.

The IFPI has been a vocal critic of services like Napster which allow Internet users to copy digital music from each other's computers for free. Napster lost its right to offer such services in a trial which ended Monday. It intends to appeal.

i dont' know what kind of crazy laws they have over there, but that could never happen in the US or Canada.

Yeah the boss of the IFIP ,said that to the media, but the day after our ministre of justice, declared that those kind of actions are the latest of their priorities!
The IFIP declared also that they will use a device as what they can locate a few hundred napsterusers in a minute(but if that's real,we will see)anywayu I stopped using napster, you'll never know!
I never heard that the police raided some houses since dec.2000 though, but they said that they will raid ,some useres that already got a warning to stop copy!

But dj fred ,we have very crazy laws back here, things that don't make sense! :)
