Tell me something bro, what happens if one gang member flees to the basement for security and a bunch of guys come looking for him with a knife? Do you think they'll really care if they slash somebody's arm?

You have a point there but I still think the chances are pretty low for something to go on downstairs unless drugs are involved.

lovely... my cousin in grade 10 is going an oral or an essay on the stabbing at aria now

For those who stay till aria until closing you will understand what i am saying.I think the hip hop room closes earlier, because near the end of the night(morning) havent you noticed the thugs that visit the edm room?

Thats the same problem i have dude.

A hip hop room in any club is key to a lot of clubs right now. Hip Hop is the mainstream, it's where a lot of club owners make money. Im sure the hip hop room at Aria helps is getting the biggest edm DJ's to the club. It sucks that there's so many gang members though.

I personnaly feel that the market isn't neary as huge as hip hop. With time, people will start liking edm music more. With shows like Tiesto @ Circus, and the ever popular celebration and Bal en Blanc, a lot of non-edm fans will slowlyu be exposed to the music. Unfortuneatly, our neighbours (the U.S) is dominated by hip hop/r'n'b and most pop culture trends follow to canada. Remember edm is also getting huge in the States, so i feel that better times are ahead. Eventually, Aria, Circus and other clubs will not need the their hip hop rooms to survive. No more Hip Hop @ events either (Swirl). If you want to help get rid of the hip hop room at Aria, persuade your friends to come, expose them to DJ's that will spin @ Aria, just make them hear the music. I have 2 friends that are Aria addicts after Digweed/Howells night. They didnt even like edm before. I also feel that we need a solid edm radio show in a prime time slot to also make the music bigger (ASOT?? they have it in T.O and Ottawa already). So if you want to keep flaming Armin or PVD or tiesto, accept a hip hop room @ Aria. Everyone starts somewhere, and Tiesto & AVB are good a good start.

what might work would be to take the circus*shudders* approach and charge different covers for each room and use wristbands to id what room you paid to get into....ps i hate circus.
Kendo
Circus doesn't have a wristband policy, that must have been a specific night like Big Circus (Halloween event) last year in October.
