Pretty good tune, does anyone know the title/artist of that Madonna tune done in 1999/2000? It used "Papa Don't Preach" as a sample. :conf: |
Progress pres. The Boy Wunda - Everybody :conf:
I own that on CD and it really is awful. |

I don't like the sound used for the strings - a direct sample would have been better. |

i love.
It makes me feel like popping in Shadow Dancer while lacing my Keds and putting on leg warmers and a head band. It has a sort of 80's feel that I've always loved. :tongue2

the only thing i notice about this song is it's relation to the remixes she has claimed as .
Sander Ks Hollywood had me never considering it was a Madge song live. and guess what? she all over his mix and he gave it out for free dld.
this sounds like shes desperately seeking dancefloor while ing people that are a: not on HER label (Oakie) or b: making better dance songs (SK)
madonna does little beyond catering to excited fanboys and claiming she can rap.
(ps. where did the 1987 manbrows go?) |

That was her best album ever. William Orbit productions, Sasha Remixes...Madonna was on the right track. |
Trance isn't cool anymore, which is why Madonna doesn't want William Orbit and Sasha. The whole neo-synthpop scene is the "IN" thing right now, so she hires Jacques Lu Cont to guide her to musical relevancy.
Madonna has no convictions or style/taste at all. She is a businesswoman, and frequently sells her soul to that which is currently trendy. She simply identifies whatever the hot underground sound is, and then goes and hires people to make her music sound like that. Trance isn't trendy, so Madonna has no love for it. Why would she go and make music that's not cool? She has a reputation to uphold. |

Agreed, Ishkur.
Whoever knew selling your soul could sound so good?
Don't get me wrong, its just a tepid, catchy, lighthearted tune. But I give her props as to appealing to the masses for.. how long now? Especially as she's definately not getting any younger, which usually plays an adverse effect on anyone in the entertainment business. With wrinkles and crows feet comes age and wear and decay and decrease in fan base, ending with a forced "life time achievement award" that may subtly give the hint. Someone was discussing when sometimes an artist just doesn't realize when the time to finally retire is, yet they keep pumping out that to their ears is gold laden. I think Madonna keeps diversifying and changes tone more than a chameleon, always appealing to the vast majority. However this appeal comes, whether it be at the expense of others, her selling her soul or eating alive the latest trend, her music has always been catchy. For me, it's nothing more and nothing less. Just danceably catchy. |

I think that sums it up for a lot of people. |

It's a guilty pleasure, and that's okay. It's not as if it was intended to be a massive hit among the underground EDM scene.
And hell, I hope I can dance around in a tacky leotard when I'm in my 40's. |

| Ehhh..I dont like the thought that they basicly ripped off ABBAs song of Gimme Gimme Gimme and just put out some other vocals..but I mean its catchy..better then other pop or hip hop songs out there. Average tune. |
