ing AWESOME night. Thanks Niveole & beatjunkie for the last-minute rides - much appreciated!
David Guetta played tons of killer tunes - but I think one part that takes the cake for me was his homage to Daft Punk, where he mixed "Daft Punk - Rollin' & Scratchin'" with "Sting - Roxanne" - effin' awesome!!! This guy has a real talent for DJing, esp. with mixing, he teases WELL with samples. But make no mistake, the tunes selection was equally as good!
This was my first time at Lot 332, and the venue itself was nice (has a similar layout/size to System Soundbar IMO) and the crowd was great. Too bad I didnt meet as many TAs... I was literally too busy enjoying the music. beatjunkie knows! :D |

oh man, what an awesome night. I feel like I ran a marathon yesterday... except my feet, I just can't feel those.
Addy started the night off great, with some dirty choons, and Guetta just tore the place apart afterwords.
I had to leave early, around 2:15, cuz I was with my little brother who needed to get home and get some sleep :(
And now, Im off to school... |

I had a blast last night. It was great to finally meet some of the TAs. Sorry to all the TAs I know I saw and didn't introduce myself to, but don't worry, I'll catch you at the next event. ;)
Don't know what to say, Guetta played some great music, had me going strong all night. But this being my first House music event, I had this thirst for some Trance, the whole night I was just hoping that the TA energy would get to Guetta and he'd drop a couple Trance tracks before the night was done. :p
Great music, great fun, can't wait to do it all again :D
p.s. I probably won't be able to make Lawler, but I'll be representing TA @ The Docks that night so I'll show those future TAs how it's done :) |

Jem_hadar - My suggestion would be to make if for Morillo. Guetta played the version that Morillo has been dropping all summer. Plus it is the Subliminal Session 9 release party... good chance he will play it as it is part of the compilation.
It is really quite something to hear.... |

That was super duper fun!!! (and yes, I was 100% sober, Jon ;) ) There was no way I was even gonna even have a single drink last night, esp. with having to work at 10am. (looks like I'm gonna be a few minutes late...).
Addy started the night off w/some great dancin beats. David Guetta kept the party going from the moment he stpped up. Had a brutal trainwreck early on, but it was smooth sailing from there. I think if he were to wreck every track, it wouldn't matter to anyone- he was playing pure party people tracks, and everyone was there to go nuts!
From the rear of the club, thought I saw a guy in the booth that 'looked like Max Graham', turns out it was, and I didn't notice til the last hour. Funniest thing was seeing him do that light show w/a table lamp in the booth during "Smells like teen spirit", and the bouncers trying to keep him away from the lamp, lol.
1st time at Lot, and while I can't complain much, some minor complaints:
-they really need to speed up that line process
-ad here said $10 until 12, but they started charging $20 at 11:30 (a surprise for many)
-too hot in the beginning, cooled once the roof opened, but when 1/2 the crowd had gone, they never closed it up any, making it FREEZING for half the remaining people. Had to get jacket out of coat check to avoid getting pneumonia.
I can't even begin to give shoutouts, there were so many of us there, but big hugs to everyone. Nice to have met 7-4-7, Niveole, and Oreo the cookie. Thanks to Heidi & Del for the last second passes.
Also add to le tracklist (dunno which mixes):
Technotronic- Pump Up the Jam (w/a SERIOUS "Can u feel it?" buildup- INSANE!!!)
Age of Love- Age of Love
Ernesto vs Bastian- Dark side of the Moon
Yazoo- Situation
Deep Dish- Say Hello
Police- Roxanne
and some song that went: "I just called the police..."
News alert:
"I Just called the Police" is the new "Someone ed my Washing Machine". |
