Probably the best Mayor that New York has ever seen has only a few more days left in office. We're living in "Interesting Times" as an old Chinese curse would have considered it and Giuliani has been a great leader none the less a Mayor through all this. He is actually one of my few idols and im not too happy with seeing him leave. I know some of you would disagree because he shut down Twilo and he had an aggressive style but thats what distinguishes from all before him. He cleaned up the streets of NY as good as he could and was a very inspirational soul during 9/11. Time Magazine's Person of the Year, Rudolph Giuliani. |

Ofcourse hes responsible. He put a lot of pressure on the owners to close it and keep it closed. Twilo had other problems it was dealing with though such as drugs, fatalities and subpoenas. |

| i've only been around for 19 years, so i really have no other mayor to base this on, but i love Guiliani. alot of people dont like him cause he was strict... but he made NYC a better place to live. he made the cops more... protective. they pull you over when you do something wrong, so dont complain. this isnt towards anyone on this board, just people in general. i would LOVE to see guiliani mayor again, or better yet, president. |

| I think Giuliani did a great job at cleaning up the streets...but the police force under his reign took on a life of its own....profiled up the ass...harrased many people based on color....even killed a completely innocent man who didnt understand english and reached for his cell phone! A tad bit outta control. Let's not even get into his whack assed plan of trying to cure the drug problem in nyc....he went after the clubs... troo drugs are done there...but shutting down the clubs isnt going to stop the drug trafficing in nyc. people just found other places to go and do drugs...or even do them in their homes. to me what Giuliani did was give an appearance that he was changing things when in fact nothing was better at all. Parents can now rest peacefully at nite thinking their children will not be sucked into the evils of a club...but lil do they know that ecstasy use and other club associated drugs are used more widely on college campuses across the country. Giuliani makes headlines when he closes a club...but when that same club opens a week later...does that get any press...none what-so-ever...its all about image! He did a great thing regarding the WTC incident...he remained strong...came through...but GOOD FAWKING RIDDANCE! :D |

| are you all joking. This mayor only cared about baseball and cops getting payed all day. My parents are teachers and all you here is NYC school doing bad and thats true. It is because they get no money!!!Long island teachers get all the money and NYC teachers get crap. My parents tell me not to become a NYC teacher at all. I feel for them but its the mayors fault. NY has to buy new ballparks costing billions while everyone else gets paid nothing??I don't believe in that and he got 100,000 for a last minute speech he did not even wirte himself before he ended. He also makes raises for himslef when he was in office??There are still no contract for NYC teachers yet but all you people hear is money that comes from nowhere into his pocket and no one elses??woerd insn't it |

| Theres always people like you who will single out Guiliani's actions and judge him as a bad mayor. He is fallible and i know about how he fuked over NYC school teachers but its not that easy to be a teacher in Long Island. LI has a better passing rate then NYC. And as for those stadiums, I didnt see anything new being built. Mayor Bloomberg put that whole thing on hold. He didnt give himself a raise either. You get a raise of $50,000 a year if your in office for as long as hes been. |
