Yes and no. Historically, the Jews have been the ones to have turned over Jesus. However, there has been some speculation that early christians bartered their religious freedom in exchange for changing the story to favor the Romans.
What I found most interesting here was that, even after slighting the Pope, the article took a decidedly Christian stance. No Jew would ever refer to Jesus as "The Savior", insist others accept him, or even necssarily accept the book of Revelation (this last one, I would ask for confirmation froma jewish TA). Someone is trying to use the Jews; is that contrary to their papers message? |

oh ok I was under the impression that there's something called Israel but I guess i was living under a rock. And ofcourse I'm dying for a country like Iraq or Egypt :rolleyes:

I'll add something to that. Not only did the Romans "like" the Jews but they also allowed Alexandria, Egypt scholars (considered smartest in the whole world at the time) to study Hebrew scripts and religion of the time of Zoariastrosism (sp?). And it became a pretty popular religion. However, one thing about the Jewish faith was that it not only a religion but a race as well and all the followers had to believe in their land, meaning that a Spaniar couldn't really be a Jew unless he moves to Israel, at this point Judea. |

you're joking right? israel is one of the biggest land disputes ever, jews can't call it their own, neither can muslims or christians...so don't tell me that israel belongs to them |

...right. So, because there's a "dispute", also not anywhere near the biggest in the World, means they don't have a country, where they have a gov't and a currency? Sure. Israel literally belongs to them at this point.

No one does any of that. First of, Israelis are called Israelis, not Jews. If you're Jewish you can't go, I AM ISRAELI, because that makes no sense historically speaking unless right now yuo live in Israel. No one makes people wear any stars over there either. Furthermore, England had as much say in the formation of the Jewish state as Russia and the USA. |
