Should I get a flu shot
I mean if the province thinks they are ok, they should be...
but I've heard that (dont know where) its not all that good for you, and somtimes can make you more susceptible to getting colds/flus?
what do people know about this? |

its actually a syrrum they inject with u with that makes u do exactly what they say.
i dont know abt anyone else..maybe im just paronoid but in all seriousness id never let the government inject me with anything.
i mean look at all the super hereo comics that could only lead to evilness.
and u dont want me to get into the story of all the superheroes in my sig. each one was injected at some poing with a "flu" shot...do any of them look ok??!?! no! |

I've never gotten a flu shot.
Don't know if it's cuz I'm a rebel..but I don't like it when someone commands me to get something and I don't know what the long term or after affects can be.
I also don't usually fall for the statement "you can trust us" made by Health Canada. I've seen the recall on medicine injected and prescribed...and it don't impress me.
Anywayz...I've had the flu many times during my life and I've always come out of it ok. Even though right now my flu is living a pretty long life in me...I still won't do it.
I also know that ppl who get the flu shot can still get the flu. And I'd rather not be one of the ppl who rushed to get the shot and then discovered my body got used to the shot and was senselessly taking it for year.
SO NO THANKS......THIS FLU SHOT IS NOT FOR ME!!! |

aye - at my work and in other public places I see people talk about it as if it's unacceptable not to get it -- makes me think how long before they start saying you need to get it?
and also i don't tend to catch flu for more than a few hours at a time anyways... once or twice a year.

| Most ppl don't get the shot because they usually get the flu ************. But the flu shot doesn't protect against the flu virus. It just builds antibodies so your body is well equipped to fight the virus once you do get it. And you if don't get the flu, great, but that's not because of the shot. |

| I am going to choose not to get my flu shot his year. They are always talking about shortages on the news, there are a lot of elderly people and children who could benefit from it more than I would ! |

| You young people getting the flu shot is not a good idea. All you are doing is creating stronger flu viruses by getting the flu shot. The only time you should get the flu shot is when you are over 50. |
