Hey people, this is my first psy track I've finished. Well I might change a couple things but it's basically finished. Would like some opinions before I finalize everything.

New Version, Fixed Volumes and Alot of problems : ) Basic Mastering.

Airyck - Inner Being

Title: Inner Being
Artist: Airyck
Length: 07:00
Format: 128kbps Mp3
Style: Psytrance?
Comments: This was made using Ableton Live 5, Almost all the synth sounds are made with Albino 2, except the Bass which was made with ReFx Vanguard.

Anyway let me know what you guys think :)

Hi

Good stuff, the intro scared me lol, i had my headphones up quite loud. The kick is psy and the bass sounds psy. Luvin the little synths, great work. The percussion needs a touch works imo. It sounds egyptian to me but good stuff.

Keep it up

Yeah that kick is supposed to be quiet at first, so you have to be carefull :) Thanx alot for the comments, I knew it kinda had a middle eastern feel to it, but you've got it pinpointed hehe.

T Valor:Thank you for listening as well, i'm glad you liked it.

Anyone else? Just put up a new better quality version, as in mastered better.

Yeah this is a real quality morning track you've got here. The bass kick combo has a real old school feel to it, very funky ! Good filter and fx work. I like it how you really lead with the bassline through the whole tune aswell, it has a great drive to it.

The main melody kinds ruins it for me though. It feels too tame for this style of track. You could really twist it up a bit more fx or automation.

Mastering sounds good too. Nice work!

yeah, oldschool alert :D

I really enjoy it. this atmosphere of synthesized futurist sounds combined with the ancient oriental or asian sounding melodies teleports me to another dimension :eyespop:

but the lower mids sound quite thin to me, about 400-1500 hz. how about adding some percussive elements at that range ?

nonetheless, good work :)

Flanger in opening is classy.

Nice drive in the kick/bass combo.

Fill at 1:12 is tight.

Lead at 2:00 has a very Isratrance feel. Nice work there.

4:19. Melody just doesn't do it for me. Some notes really seem to be put there for the sake of being there, and really detract from the drive of the track.

5:36 is a nice cut.

Overall, very fun track, but the melody isn't what makes it right now.

Hi, nice track...some of the sounds are really outstanding. One thing that it lacks is a certain kind of analogue warmth because now everything sounds so digital. Also you should work little bit more on the melody ( itīs sounding too complicated, I donīt know how to explain ... ) The snare could be little bit stronger, with more mid-frequencies maybe. Good production anyway!!

Hey,
commenting as I listen...
The intro is not really interesting, it is okay, but nothing I want to hear more than one time.. dont take this as offense, I'm very strict with intros ;)
Kick and bass are okay. The bass is warm and in its place and contributes to the melodies, very sweet. And the synthwork is great.
Again, the hihats are kinda thin, try some fatter sounds or try to spice them up by layering with other hihat samples, or maybe try some reverb.
Reverb and delay is what your tune needs anyway. This one sounds extremely dry. It sounds crisp and clear, but it's lacking warmth somehow, like Lakeus described it. It could make your tune sound more like a whole.
The percussion really starts to groove @1:25 ... I'd consider turning the clap sound down a little.
I really love the middle eastern melody, it works just great, reminds me of old goa classics, but it still sounds very modern. Great! :)
Keep it up! :)
