Some very unusual and unique staccato percussion going on in this song... very neat! Needs maybe some more subtleties going on in there... too much percussion without anything else going on.
I haven't decided what I think about the gated melody that starts just after 2 minutes. It's neat and unique, but I can't decide if I like how it sounds... It works good as an introduction to what comes in around 3:30, but I think it goes on maybe for too long.
Just hit 4:15.... these melodies are very strange. Oooh... like that kick that comes in just after 4:30! Here just before 5 minutes, the gating starts again. I think maybe this should be used for accenting rather than going on with it for long periods of time. This may be a product of the genre though. I typically listen to more melodic/uplifting stuff rather than tech-trance. Some cool granularized effects in here, with the chopped-up sounds. I like the quick claps @ just before 7 minutes.
Overall, sounds very well done, everything is pretty precise... I'm not a big fan of the style though, I typically like to have something more going on melodically for it not to sound like a drum machine demo. Still, some cool techniques used in here that I can appreciate. :)
Btw, thanks for listening to my track :) |

| My main style is belearic trance like ur stuff. That version is the hard version. I would play armin van burren, solarstone, scott bond stuff. Techy stuff isnt up my street. its just da way it turned out. lol. |

| Nothing wrong with a little experimentation... that's how we evolve our productions! :) |

LOL, nice beat, that kick is crazy :).
The snare and reverse work pretty cool with the off beat bass.
The voice loop is not very good, the sampel rate sounds like at 64 and appears to straight, I would add at least a bunch of reverb and pan delay though.
Like the melodie appearing at 2:20, and also that note in the background making the support melodie.
In overall interesting, fun to listen t something new and diferent good work mate ;).

I finally got around to listen to this track.
I'm curious, because you said that my track was of an old school style. Can you please explain to me how a track such as this one is "new school?" I think it sounds cool and everything, but it has a few repetitious arps, pretetitious sounds, and some analog stuff thrown here and there, but it's not really energetic. DO pelpel actually dance to stuff like this in the clubs? It sounds like it would be more industrial than trance.
When I compare my completed track to yours as far as production is concerned, my sounds are just as clear and hot. No one has specifically said exactly what the mastering issues are. My track has much more going on in it than this one. A track with minimal sounds and effects is a lot easier to master.
I like this though, better than some of the other tracks I've heard. One thing that did bug me was when the synth comes in at 6:25...it sounds out of place with the rest of the track, unless it is meant to be a transition to the next section of the track. |
